Thinking in the hand:

Preflop: I thought preflop was pretty standard when he raises I have QQ so I 3bet his open and he flats.

Flop: Since I'm OOP I decide to go for a check/call despite 3betting preflop because it's going to be hard to continue in the hand if I bet and he raises me on the flop. I didnt want to get outplayed knowing he doesn't have to have an ace in his hand ATM.

Turn: The flop checks through and turning a set is one of the best cards in the deck despite a straight draw coming in because now I beat all his top-pair hands that checked back the flop and if he has some type of two pair I can get a lot of chips in the middle by the river. This causes me to lead out for a bet of around 3/4 the pot.

River: After he calls the turn I put him on lots of Ax top pair hands that check back the flop and even some two pair hands that are trying to be tricky. This led me to overbet the river to try and put a lot of pressure on those hands and hope he makes a bad decision by calling. Now when he raises I become really confused and go into the tank because it made absolutely no sense in my head. I couldn't think of a hand that could flat call a three bet preflop, check back the flop, flat call the turn, then shove the river that had me beat. The nine on the river didn't change much because the only hand that could have got there that beats me is T8 and I don't think it's possible for that hand to get to the river. I ruled KT out of his range because i also didn't think that hand could call a three-bet preflop. After I tanked I figured there were too many combos of hands I had beat, and I was already pot committed so I called.

I wanted to know if there were some flaws in my thinking, and If i played this hand OK.

Ill post results later in the comments

What I'd really be concerned about here is AA. KTs is a decent possibility as he has position and I'm not sure either his tendencies or yours. He could easily flat call your 3 bet with AA because four betting he would likely get you to fold most of your 3 bet range. He's way ahead on the flop so checking back for him would be standard as he's hoping you'll either catch a piece on the turn or take stab at it. The river is an easy shove for him. That being said, I think the line you played was good and you're certainly pot committed on the river in my opinion as there are too many two pair or lower trip hands that you beat.

I think You played that hand very well.

I see here 2 options.
1. Your oponent try to make horrible bluff that he complete the straight.
2. He had AK or AA. And this is most likely in my opinion.

Why AK.
You check on flop so he could think that You maybe have KK, so he decide to slowplay his top pair with top kicker.

Why AA.
This option is most likely for me. He slow play that nicely.
Standard open preflop, You raise and he call. On flop he know that have top set so going to slowplay that. On turn he would never call Your big bet with only draw, but with top set? Why not :D
On the river everything goes just how he want

your betsizing on turn is so high its pretty much screaming queens so if he calls hes most likely got u beat or a huge chunk of equity... hmm river should be a check call cuz of the turn play... our trips are in danger and i cant see any worse hands calling here

I discounted AA because this guy was not capable of slowplaying them. He will always 4bet aces preflop

River is a fold. Nobody shoves over a river overbet without the nuts. This is K10 95% of the time, and 108hh the other 5%. I don't see why he can't have K10 in his range. HU K10s I doubt most players are folding vs a 3-bet. And I wouldn't put it past him to be bad enough to call with K10o.

And don't overbet river. He has a lot of bluff catchers that aren't going to call a large bet, and it's hard for you to have a bluff here.

I don't like overbetting the river here. You seem to have a really strong hand like a straight or set and your opponent can fold big hands. You really have to bet the flop in order to bet big on the river. Otherwise you only have strong hands there and you don't seem to have a lot of bluffs. I think you hand is reall face up.
