figured i was way behind after the flop, made a continuation bet anyway. figured i'd get out before too much damage was done. no showdown.

is there anything i could have done different?

Maybe you're a better man than me right here, but I don't see how you folded to a $.10 minraise with $.80 now in the pot. To me, in ring games, especially at this level, I would make this call everytime. Obv the odds aren't quite right, but I'm willing to toss that little extra at this level in hopes of making my set. The variety of hands you'll see without an A is unreal. If the turn comes a blank or more dangerous, then I can check/fold.

i played a few hands with him and he played well enough to give him credit. i figured i was way behind and therefore no need to donk anymore chips off.

check/fold the flop, however as played u are getting pretty good odds to chase your set with your .10 already in and another caller behind.

no, you can check/call, implementing the way ahead/ way behind, not neccesarily way ahead, but you know what i mean.
if villain is a strong player then check/fold is better if you have that read.

This is what, 5NL, c-betting this flop is pretty much bleeding money, you're never, ever getting A2o off his hand, ever and two people cold-called, so the chances you're beat are enormous. Check/call or check/fold, but betting here is just asking to get sucked in a huge pot for nothing.
