Few hours ago I came home from a long 10 hours live poker playing spree... I havent seen that much live hand analysis here but I still think you guys will find this interesting...

So its a 1€/2€ no limit cash table with max 8 players...
Sat down 3-4 hands before with ~140€... havent even "warmed" up...
Teble info:
First one on my left ... short stacker with ~18€...
2nd guy on my left ~200€... others arent important... (little info...always slowplays monster hands... loves to steal blinds... almost a calling stattion)

Hand:
Im BB,
UTG (short stacker) limps in,
2nd guy raises 10€...
table folds to me... I have :ah4::4d4:... so I call the 8€
UTG goes allin with 18€...
2nd guy instant calls...
I call...

FLOP: :as4::ac4::4s4:
The UTG guy makes some kind of a sound that makes me 100% he doesnt have an Ace... I go in to my acting mode and check like I have nothing and hope for a continuation bet or that even the ace hitted him...
He raises 10€ and I instantly reraise 30€ (20€ him to call)... he thinks for a 15-20 seconds and calls ... now Im thinking maybe he doesnt have an Ace... is it possible he tryed to steal the blinds with a 2-3/3-5/5-2, or even 2 spades? pffff... whatever he has... I think to myself I got him...

TURN: :5s4:
Now... that card throws me on a total tilt... I dont even remember what was going through my head at that time but I remember ... I just checked... and on my even bigger suprise the guy ... like he was afraid of that card instant checks...

RIVER: :kh4:
Now Im still suprised of his instant check... so I think for a few seconds and make a decision to make some kind of a stab at the pot that was 115€ by now... thinking if he has nothing he will fold... on the other hand the calling station that he sometimes is... I could get away without (me checking to him and he) betting his allin...
So I made it 40€... he thinks for 5 seconds and goes AllIn...

now I go in to a tank for little over a minute... thinking... playing the whole hand in my head... what does he have? straight? flush? full? pocket K's?

the dickhead on the other side of the table calls me TIME...
so I get a coin out and say...
HEADS I fold...
TAILS I call...

You flopped a full house.

The only hands that beat you are 2s3s AK and A5. I think you have posted it wrong.

(and for the record the preflop is nasty)

checked it... nope... didnt post it wrong... the thing is that I didnt know what to put him on...
and I dont think its "only" AK... when I now think about it what could he had the AK is a likely hand... he has raised preflop with it... raised with trips and thot about my hand then called on the flop... checked to a possible straight/flush on turn... then on a full house putted me allin...

Just puzzled why the 5 put you on tilt on the turn then, cause you had the nuts at that point aside from A5 which isn't exactly a likely holding.

This is an instacall, particularly with the money already in the pot. If you are calling raises with A4o and are not prepared to put all your chips in with AA4 on the board I'm a touch puzzled.

You've got like 90 of your starting 140 in the middle. If you fold now you're ..... well, not playing good poker. If you fold ever based on flipping a coin you're a fool. If he has AK, oh well, maybe next time you'll fold that trash preflop.

ok... thanks for every comment so far...
just to explain few things... Im playing real cash games for only 6-7 months... and as you can see Im still lacking lots of experience at it...
but the one thing is that I just sometimes dont play on the pot odds or am I pot commited ... I try to rely as much as I can on my reading skill... if I put him on AK and I think he cought his 3outer on river... sorry but it just feels right not to donate him my last 50€...

the coin flip was a proposition by a friend at the table... I just didnt know what to do... I was 50-50...

why did I call with such a shitty hand?
honestly... I thot he was just stealing my blinds... he was looking somewhere in to the far... like he was daydreaming... begging to God for us to fold...

the order of thinking was something like "could he have a flush draw? or maybe even a straight draw... wait staight flush? 2s-3s? 3s-5s? 2s-5s?" BOOOOOM... 5s on the turn :)

I've re read this twice now, and if you folded this you should investigate a new hobby.

Girl Scout cookie sales comes to mind.;)

ok ok ... before I catch my mom here saying what a big f***ing donkey I am for getting the tought not to call...
it was tails... I did call...
He showed KK... I did showed my cards... and the short stacker showed AK...
so I did win a nice side pot...

but I have to point out that yes... this is an online pure call... with no doubt...

If you think you're ahead preflop why not re-raise? If he's raising to steal what happens when you flop nothing? Maybe his rags to steal the blinds hit. You don't want to be flat calling with A4 regardless. But you're such an overwhelming favorite here it's not even close. He does this with such a large range of hands and A5 and AK (and 23s I guess?) are such a small portion of that range. He most likely does this with any set, nut flush, and you're getting good odds to make the call. Easy call no question, you're killing yourself with the coin flip. Don't give yourself a 50% chance to make this horrible of a play in poker.

I really cannot follow the OP. You have the nuts almost. AK, A5, 23spades, are the only things that can beat you. One is a Straight Flush, so I dont count that one (let it steal my money, he flops it and I will give my money happily - well not happily, but he earned it). So we have the 5 and the K. You say the 5 made you think, but he checked. So that probably negates that. Then the river. So the only real hand that could beat you is if he had AK. I am confused...

Edit: read it again. So shortstacker had AK? And the other guy went all in with 2 aces on the board, with only trip Ks? Wow, I dont really play live much, but if I did that would be quite the hand. I would only had folded that if I was the KK guy, knowing that with 2 other guys in that pot AND 2 As on the board, that I was surely surely beat. Good win anyways.

Edit Edit: Went back and read all the posts. What they said. ^^^
I know that I would be happier with bigger hands live, since they occur less often (meaning I multi-table online). There is no way that I would let a coin-flip (a literal coin-flip!), decide whether I call with the (pretty close to near) nut fullhouse.

cheers on all your comments... thankful for all of them...

@zachvac

why I didnt reraise preflop? I dont really know... guess I already decided in advance (and its a huge mistake) I was gonna flat call him preflop and gonna instant overbet the flop on whatever the cards were (seing him already fold to that kind of action)... and if I sence he has something and reraises... Ill act as Im thinking for a few minutes just not to make him think I had a piss hand... in the end lie that I had a midpocket pair... or a straight/flush draw... and that it wasnt "worth it... I dont feel lucky..." bs...

why did I use a coin... well my time was running low on 30 seconds ... and I was slightly going on folding thinking he had AK... and a friend made comment on it by saying "a man... flip a damn coin or something... look at your watch and if the seconds is over 30 fold or something..." ... so I thot why not... could be amusing for the table... its not a thing I would normaly do... so I said to the table that I think he has AK and that if I call and he has AK its the coins fault... that I done a good read but the coin ****ed me up :)

@odinscott
at your first edit (I did a bad job at explaining :() the UTG shortstacker had :ad4::kd4: (aces full of kings)... the guy had :kc4::ks4: (kings full of aces).... I dont know what was he putting me on, maybe only trips or flush... guess when he saw his K he was just too happy... (another thing why I thot he had AK... he was scared of that possible flush and now when he got his full... he didnt wipe his confident smile of his face)

2nd edit: I know what you mean... Im afraid online moving from my usual .05/.10 cents to any higher... that could be cuz I dont play online to "earn" money but "just to keep sharp"... thats why I keep saying that pushing all those 50€ left in was not like me going online with the odds and if it goes it goes if not ... heh shit happens... POOOF *add more chips button* and cash another 150€ at the table... altho I was already seing myself at the ATM cashing out more of my bankroll :)

LOL Well I see. He must of thought that that K was his saviour. The shortstacker had already moved in, so he was only worrying about you and then saw the K. Ha bet that confident smile went away mighty quick... =p
I think that if that first guy hadnt had been in it, you would had been able to read it alot easier. Though I can see where he thought his K was good, you knew it wasnt (again unless he had AK, which is what you thought). I guess that is one of those that you had to be there, because each of us would had had to see how he played before that, to really judge what we would had done. I personally would had did what you ended up doing, regardless of whether it worked out or I got busted. He had one hand that could had beat you (take away the 5 which he didnt bet and the straight flush which is so foreign to me that I dont count it =P).
I am glad that it worked for you, but I do have one request... next time convert the damn money into $! LOL It is too hard for my brain to figure out how much we are talking about with the Euro thing. That is the Euro thing right? It is what... 500 dollars to a Euro by now. =D

would be better if I didnt have such a limited vocabulary of english...
would have been much much easier if I could have the ability to put in to words the sounds/looks/facial expressions of the table makes... but yea... one of those "had to be there" hands...
been with you guys for a few freerolls and like the gang... and cuz I dont play that much online... thot why not share some of my live played hands...

next time Ill convert everything in to USD if its easier for you guys...
cheers

As for the dollar euro thing, the only reason to choose dollars is because the US keyboard layout doesn't give us a simple euro sign. The fact that it is real money is the only really important info we need, and perhaps the nature of the stakes.

Note;, if there is a really simple way to get the euro symbol on US keyboards, please post it here. 'Sorta simple' need not bother.

I was joking about the money thing, but I would just copy/paste the simple. € easy enough.
