I'm usually raising more here to put more pressure on the guys - the 3bb+1/limper works pretty well as a guideline.

As played on the flop I'm just folding - he's obviously committed and we're not getting good enough odds to draw to our overcards on a push. fyi I'm also usually just shutting down on flops like this especially if lead into for a significant amount if we're deep. Well that's unless I feel I can scare him off hands like 77, but you get the idea.

Interesting hand. I'm 3-betting this most of the time preflop, but as a balancing play I think calling is fine. Our hand's too valueable and vulnerable to be doing this all the time though. wp postflop, not sure what the guy could have had there except like AJ or QQ.

Pretty standard here. We could make a case for slowplaying a little bit but as I'm usually just c-betting flops most of the time anyways, I like just firing out a pot sweetener here.

The amount you bet is a little weird though - if you're getting action from 99/77 etc on this flop with a $1.25 bet, you're probably getting it with a $3 bet as well. We want to build the pot so I'm usually betting closer to 3/4 the pot.

Yeah I don't mind the call pf here but it's a little loose, especially out of position. In spots like these I much prefer playing small pairs since it's fit or fold postflop - you either hit your set or you don't. When you hit a draw or an ace with Axs it becomes a lot harder to play OOP.

pf is good.

As played postflop I think calling the flop with the intention of folding to a non-ace turn is pretty spewy - we're not getting odds to draw and villain will probably frequently put out a second barrel. I much prefer raise/folding the flop, or even calling and then raising the turn if you think you can push him off 99 and similar hands.

Yep, much more standard fold. We're now only 3 to a flop if you call, aren't getting as good immediate or implied odds, and again we're OOP.

Actually implied odds vs ferropolis might actually be better since he raised in EP, but I still like a fold here.

Don't like this OOP. I don't think it's terrible, especially if you think you can outplay him postflop, but OOP that's pretty hard to do against most opponents. It's also much harder to extract value when we hit.

Well played. Not much to add, I think this is pretty standard. A lot of people slow down on the turn and that's completely wrong imo as the flush/straight is only one part of his wide range at this point.

Solid fold - OOP with a marginal hand like AJ is a spot I never like to be in. If we're getting involved we probably want to squeeze, but folding is by far the best option.

Not much to add to Chuck's analysis overall, other than this AQ was raised PF much better than the first one.

This is a weird flop bet though; 21% of the pot? Either his idea of a probe bet or, I don't know what. Because it's so small and unusual I can see the temptation to call, but agree reraising is a better choice. It's almost so small that you can't fold though .... maybe that's his idea of how to play a set of 6s.

Not sure what to think of this one - my decision here would depend pretty heavily on reads but I don't like calling the flop raise with the intention of folding to that turn bet. If that's the plan then we should be folding on the flop I think.

Nasty spot, I probably play it the same, but making those calls and folding to turn bets is just spewy-looking to me - similar to calling 3-bets pf without implied/direct odds and intending to check-fold a flop that doesn't hit you hard.

Another interesting one. Pretty standard up until the turn where I think you should be betting a little more. The board is very drawy and I think we're either marginally ahead vs some type of draw + pair or draw + overcard, or we're way behind already. We want to make him pay, so I'm usually bet-folding the turn for a little more.

As played on the river (don't mind the blocking bet, but I'm checking it to him if he's passive), I think we have to fold to the raise. Although the guy is bluffing a lot (even I've seen that through the HHs), I don't see much we're ahead of here.

I think I'm giving up on the turn here and checking for my free card. He's rarely going to call two bets with a gutshot, and we're not pushing off any better hands here unless it's KQ.

Calling the raise on the turn is even worse - we're simply not getting odds to draw out and likely don't have the best hand.

pf is good.

As played postflop I think calling the flop with the intention of folding to a non-ace turn is pretty spewy - we're not getting odds to draw and villain will probably frequently put out a second barrel. I much prefer raise/folding the flop, or even calling and then raising the turn if you think you can push him off 99 and similar hands.

Actually ive been noticing that i call bets/raises on the flop and then fold to the turn bet when i dont hit. A leak no doubt.

Well I didn't see too many that were outlandishly bad, but in general we want to avoid playing OOP like it's the plague, especially with drawing hands or marginal hands.

I will call some 3-bets OOP if I feel my hand shapes up well against my opponent's range and if I feel I can get some cheap showdowns/free cards, but if we're clearly behind then it's almost always a fold.

One exception to this imo is with small pairs for set mining (assuming we're getting IO). Those hands are very clearly fit or fold postflop and you don't have to worry about playing out a turn/river card.

Sure,

Basically I thought you played pretty well, didn't really see any huge leaks or anything.

A few spots I thought the c-bets were a little small (both when you hit and when you didn't) - I usually try to aim for 3/4 the pot size. That gives us good odds to fold our our opponent's better hands as well as swell the pot nicely when we do have a hand. Turn bets I aim for slightly smaller, and found that yours were a little too small imo as well.

Again there were a couple of spots where you called with hands you should be 3-betting/folding OOP but they weren't terribly bad. If you were to call a raise with like KJo OOP and play it really badly postflop that'd be a significant leak, but calling with JTd hands is fine since it's generally pretty easy to determine whether or not you're ahead or behind postflop.
