The following is my 7 biggest losers out of the last 2080 hands. I've never had PT before and have been using the free PT3 beta version. It bothers me that I'm a losing player with top starting hands (see the insert below the HHs). I think the rest of my game is ok, you'll notice I'm winning and over the table max in the following hands. Your thoughts please. Am I putting to much value on my big hands?

Dealt to Alon Ipser [Ah Kh]
Dealt to Alon Ipser [Ad Ks]

Those two hands were by far the most mistake ridden. And most of your mistakes come from over playing your hand. Just because a K hits the flop, and you have top kicker doesn't mean its better than 2-pair or a straight.

You're offering big implied odds to your opponents with your Sklansky group 1 hands. The reason they're good, is because many of them are already a made big pair, or have the ability to make top pair, top kicker. And while big single pairs are great, they are very beatable. You shouldn't be stacking off with TPTK unless you have strong reads on your opponent.

Try controlling the potsize a little bit more when you're playing hands like TPTK. And be on the lookout for tell-tale signs of a set/trips/2pair/straights. In many cases, you just donked right into players showing a whole lot of strength.

Re raise again, always try to get all of your money in PF with aces or kings. Oh also, don't min raise please :(

Alon post hands one at a time. It gives me a headache looking a big blocks of hand histories.

You need to have a look at some pot-control issues, your also spewing implied odds by not 3-betting a lot of these hands pre-flop. Look again at the wa/wb thread in the archive.

On most of these hands I think the mistakes are preflop. Some of your raises are very small, other times you just call somebody elses raise when you should be raising it.

I'm not so sure I agree with the comment of getting it all in with the kings.

Dealt to Alon Ipser [Ks Kh]
Alon Ipser: raises $0.10 to $0.20
Arzneimittel: folds
Bigro73: raises $0.60 to $0.80
moeller222: folds
Mikkelheide: folds
pitbullerxls: folds
Alon Ipser: raises $0.60 to $1.40
Bigro73: raises $1.60 to $3

The min raise is bad. Re raising him is good, though why only a min raise? I agree with the call though rather than a shove. The action here suggests AA-QQ (I don't think AK would be this agressive). Calling lets you see a flop and if a Q or A comes down you can take it from there.. though it'd still be hard to get awary from.

I would definately agree that you have some Pre-Flop problems dealing with strong starting hands, but I think your bigger problem is that you Train those same good starting hands Post-Flop. In almost every situation you provided you were given signals of strength that didn't exactly jive with the board and rather than re-evaluate where you were at in the hand it appears that you just lowered your head and tried to power thru.

BAD IDEA.

My suggestion would be to incorporate a little more patience and try to focus more on those signals of unusual strength coming from your opponents when the board doesn't seem to support it. This will generally be your best chance to identify when you are up against a Set. Additionally, when your strong starting hand makes an obvious improvement and your opponents continue with the hand, start asking yourself, "Why are they still in this?"
