Villain is like 60/4/1.6 at this point and I've been tag.

He doesn't raise flops often, more donking and calling. What's our plan for the hand? Call down? Get it in on the flop? Fold?

You're both deep with over 80 BBs so I think you should call then check the turn and call any reasonable bet if a safe card comes and just try to check it down. If he checks behind you on the turn if there's a blank then it's very likely he has a flush or straight draw. If another blank comes on the river then check and call any bet since he may be bluffing a missed draw.

I'm not sure if fish are smart enough here to raise with their draws, and that's what confusing me. If we're up against AQ, a set, or a whacky two pair, things will get really expensive for us if we re-raise the flop.

I'm leaning more towards just a call here, and betting a blank turn. If we get raised again, then we can think about folding, since I don't see fish raising a draw on both the flop and turn.

Course, if a diamond/3/8 hits on the turn, we'll really have our work cut out for us.

Hmmm, someone 60/4 is not 3 betting his AQ, and maybe not even AK, but also calls with his AJ/AT/A9 and probably even lower aces. 60/4 he's probably also calling almost any two gapped suited cards though too, as well as 77/44 ....

Does a minraise mean the same to him as donking into a PR raiser? Or just a test of whether we've got an ace or are c-betting a missed flop? Or an attempt to get us to slow down on the turn with his weak ace?

I'm awful at reading minraises especially postflop, mostly because I never do it unless I've got a monster against a weak player.

Hmmm, a player with these stats might even do this with JJ/TT/99 to test our bet/"protect" their hand.

okay, I've thoroughly confused myself. I'm leaning towards a call too, but I'm not sure of a plan for the turn.

Problem for me is villain is probably betting A4 through AK the exact same way here. We're ahead of five of those hands and behind four of them.

I think I flat call the flop and try to see a cheap showdown?

(Side note: I'd feel a lot more comfortable if it was the Ad in our hand, and not Ah)

next thing we all know, you reproach us for being too weak/tight. :D i hope a resolution to this comes soon.

I call the flop, but I'm not so sure I put in any more money unimproved.

I raise this exactly never.

... and I think folding is a better play than calling down if he bets three barrels.

A sentence like that without any explanation of what the pokertracker stats mean and what tag means is going to exclude 3/4th of the site from replying here.

I'm leaning more towards just a call here, and betting a blank turn. If we get raised again, then we can think about folding, since I don't see fish raising a draw on both the flop and turn.

Problem is, calling is $3, and with $15 pot your turn bet (either to take the pot down or more likely as a "block" bet) is going to have to be $7+, so that's $10 into a pot which on the balance of probabilities you are going to be behind with few outs.

I'd like to be able to say "have this one" and fold it now, because this looks like a small win-big loss hand. It would also be nice advertising for when you do the same, and either have a better hand or you hit the flop better.

In reality though i'd probably call, and try and check it down as cheaply as possible.

min3bet him (click raise button without adjusting slider). thats just a fun way to get mr fish confused and end up having to call with whatever crap hes minraising you with. also, considering that c/minraise is a blatant bluff a lot of the time, you sometimes end up getting value out of bottom pair or weird hands that he feels he should continue with because your raise was so small.

but yeah, shipping in by river is fine as long as board doesnt go to hell against given villain.

I'm going to do a little bumpity-bump here, 'cause I find myself in this situation all the time and I hate it. Please to be posting what happened in the rest of the hand, Chuck?

Also, I get what CiB is, but what does it stand for?
