alright well, a lot of people have been posting around the forums wanting advice on how to play this game successfully and i have said, there is no real set way to play, its all about circumstances.

So i've taken the two biggest decisions i had to make in tonights little 25 minute session for people to have a look at. Both were tough decisions for me, but i think i played it right on both accounts.

This is more a learning thread for people more than general advice, i want people posting what they believe is the right play. I don't want people to be shy when posting their because they don't know what they think the best play is. By posting your best guess, it is the only way to learn. If this becomes a remotely popular thread, ill do more of these on a regular ish basis

also anyone playing 50nl kinda seriously, avoid eric122, he seems to be awsome.

Hand #1, the pushing donktard is a compelte fish, whos range i absolutely destroy, but what is our best action after his push with someone to act behind???

If we call, are we committed to calling a push from second villain, even though we will be ridiculously behind his range. The problem is, even a flat call here by us, will only be called by the 2nd villain with a hand that beats us, so should we raise for a bit of isolation?? or do we fold unsure about what the 2nd villain has??

switch0723: bets $3 <------ Note the small bet, this is mainly a stopper bet, if i check, jeffblaze is good enough to fire a pot size bet with any hand, then im in a horrible position since i could be drawing dead, and will be oop for post 3rd draw action, so this small bet, is just to enable me to get a chance to draw for the cheapest possible. Against other players i would likely check here and make my hand for free, but jeff is 100% to bet this if i do

Hand #2

This is a real tough decision, we have a very big hand for a full table, so 4 handed our hand is huge. I have never seen pleather 3 bet before but only over ~30 so no idea what his range is, and i haven't played with other guy before. Now right here, there is a significant chance of our hand being best, the dilemma is, if we call, we are forced to check/stand pat all the way to showdown, pleather is good enough from what i've seen to be able to put us on a 9 or weak 8 low and bully us off the pot if we do that. So what do we do, call, fold or 4bet?? I really didn't know what to do here for ages and still don't really know

for #1 i think it is best to just call it, a crying call i might add, but raising is just foolish as i dont see jeff calling a raise with a hand worse than urs
but back to lazylady, what hand does she make that push with, 8-5 and better is soo soo likely so on further inspection of the hand i might be inclinded to fold this but its like a half an half cause if she is as bad as u say she is, she might do it with a 9, maybe 10 low thinking that yall would have missed, call or fold are both acceptable

with hand #2, ur in a chit and dont want to see them draw, i think a standard a 4 bet might not get either one to fold, yahaw might just be a fish calling with 3 to a decent low and is looking to get lucky drawing, and with his reraise, pleather is not folding to a small bet, it is either a push or a fold with me leaning towards a push hoping they fold, if 1 stands pat, u have to draw to ur 4 2's with the likely hood of 1 or 2 of them being in ur opponents hands already but even with that possiblity, i might still push it

i crush lazy lady's range, she is easily doing this as a complete bluff, a weaker 8 low and even a 9-5 or 9-4 low, the only hand im worried of here having is a stronger 8-6

When you say push, do you legitamately mean push, or do you mean 4-bet to about 12?? Since pushing is way to over the top imo. We can then fold to a shove. What if a 4bet is called by both and they both draw 1 for instance, or 1 draws 1 and the other stands pat, do we stand pat and hope our 9 low can hold up?? Both villains have effectively committed themselves to the hand aswell, so we have very little fold equity and are relying on a 9 low holding against 2 villains with strong drawing hands. I don't like the idea of splitting our hand to draw for the 2's, since it's effectively over if we try that, especially if a 4 bet is called, and much prefer to stand pat then turn our hand into a bluff instead of splitting it and ending up committed with a 4 outer

well if ur looking to play a small pot just call, but standing pat on first draw after just calling a 3bet just tells ur hand to the whole world, the only hands that would do that is like a 9 low or a 8-7 low and by just calling, unless they are both overly passive, i dont see u winning this hand and i dont see it being check down either
playing a 9 low in a 3 way pot is not profitable in nl, it may be profitable in limit, but not nl
so when i say push i mean push it all in, and only resort to drawing to the 2 if ur called and they stand pat and ur best chance of winning the hand is to get them to fold predraw, i dont think they are committed to calling a shove,
shoving is profitable if they only call 1 in 6 times and i dont think they will be calling that often
