One thing I'm experimenting with at the moment is limping in EP with AK. Non-standard certainly, but Green Plastic was talking about it in a recent Cardrunners video as a play that he's tried with some success recently. Anyway, that explains pre-flop. How do I do for the rest of the hand?

CokeyRedbull is TAG, like 12/5/4, but he's in the blind so could have anything.

As you say, from the BB, he could have anything. Interesting that he chose to check-raise the flop when preflop it wasn't raised so it doesn't mean someone was going to bet the flop. And then he continues to lead OOP.

One effect of limping AK is that when an A or K hits, or in this case both, no-one suspects you to be on that hand; if I were him I'm not sure what I would have you on. A set of tens? Flush draw?

Because of the mystery I would have been afraid to bet the river if I were him, even if he's got a set of 2s since the flush completed.

If he's thought that, then I'd be afraid to call his river bet 'cause then he thinks he's got those hands beat. Unless he thinks you're a calling station.

His flop bet screams 2 pairs i think, although his later bets are a bit strong for 2 pairs. But i think he has every reason to put you on an unpaired ace. if he has ace ten with you limping from ep then he probably puts you on an unpaired ace.

I dont see myself folding it, and im not confident enough that he has 2 pairs and not set or flush (although raising flop so strong when hes tight with a fd seems not as likely as 2 pairs or set) 2 raise it, so i think calling it down is best.

I can't assess any percentages to this, but to me his most likely holdings are, in order: 2 pair, set, flush. I put flush as the least likely because he raised your flop bet OOP.

You say he's been TAG but I still think you have to call this because AT or T2 are very possible holdings that he would play as he did.

Why didn't you raise his turn bet?

It looks like 10 2 or A 10 are his most likely holdings. Maybe 2 2. I wouldn't put him on a set of tens because most TAGs would raise a couple limpers with that preflop. And I seriously doubt he limped with AA (but I have seen it done in the BB before).

Like Joe said above, is a flush likely? Why wouldnt he just call the flop to see a cheap turn card. Two pair seems the most likely scenerio.

Looks completely standard to me (preflop aside, of course).

Why didn't you raise his turn bet?

Pot control. I don't want to play a really big pot with this hand. His check/raise on the flop suggests a big hand, and there are plenty of hands that beat me here.

Drunkenly I think villian has QJ clubs. Not a great hand up front pf, but often worth a look. And in this case what a look he gets!

Of all the possibilities described above, QJ clubs makes sense bet wise. Why not all in post river? Value. He knows he has the nuts and that an all in bet might describe it too well. As long as he doesn't bet all in he is likely at this point to get a flush or trips to call.

Villian shows disregard for a flush here, meaning he might have QQ one being clubs, that would account for a bluff at the turn, but not for a bluff at the river.

Qx clubs, would allow villian to have the nut flush which with this board is as good as a royal flush.

Since villian was described as TAG, it is reasonable to think at least Qx of clubs, but QJ clubs as a starting hand in the Blind makes the most sense.

Gonna hate it when we find out villian has T2 and always playes it cause it is 'Doyle's Hand'...........

Q9s OOP he check/raises your flop bet? Lol. I considered flush the least likely holding because of that check/raise, which clearly doesn't make sense, but it did fool me.

Once again its what your opponent "thinks you have", but I won't give him too much credit for it. Would you have played villains hand like this?
