Insta shove I think.
CO only reps AQ and straight draws so we are ahead a lot.
Even if we're unlucky and he has QT, we still have outs on the river.
I wouldn't check the turn either.

Why check the turn? The 2 is one of the best turns you could hope for.

And once you check, the CO could easily think that his 2nd best hand is now best and play it strongly (and get you to fold the best hand).

Considering this is 5 NLHE I think you played the hand fine. These players have no such talent to be making bluffs like this on dry turns. Villain is representing what it has indeed QT, Q7, T7, 22, 77 or maybe TT.

I would bet/fold turn because villain has many weaker hands.

If you’re not calling down or shoving your KK with no ace, straight or flush on the board are you only playing when you have the absolute nuts?

You should be leading the betting here - if he checks you lose value and let him draw out on you, if you bet and he raises / shoves then maybe I can live with letting the KK go, but here you have no info and his hand hasn’t improved on the turn.

I agree with Carlos that most 5NL players dont have bluffs in them, but they’re also stupid and overvalue weak hands. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had KQ/AQ or even QJ here and thinks he’s “protecting” his top pair from straight and flush draws...This is also a classic move with JJ for a weak 5NL player who thinks pocket broadway should win every time they play and that your check means you can’t have the Q.
