You need a reason to hero call, you didn't give any.

I would like sometimes to donk bet this kind of flop to protect my hand from scary turns.

Hero makes his cbet on a 5 way pot on the flop, that's too strong.
So I don't like too much the turn lead,I prefer it on the flop.
Now on the river everything misses and the only hand that gets there is AQd KQd QJd and QTd,no too many hands. So imo you aren't beating too many hands there and villain showed strength on that flop cbeting it.
TT and JJ will check back the river and all the over pairs, boats and Qxd will shove there for value and players in this limits don't shove to much with a bluff.
So imo is a fold there.

1. Open calling the MP raise is fine
2. I feel you should have raised on the flop
3. As played, check the turn. His Cbet on the flop is either a bluff (Ax, broadway, flush draw, suited connectors diamonds) cause he hit nothing or a set.
4. This is a bad river for you. Your hand isn't really beating much in his range here. I'd fold.
