I'd probably fold to the turn pot when SB bets into 2 other people.

Hi. It's hard to say without any information at all on the villain. The issue I have with it is that you really don't have any idea how strong the SB is until you put the raise in at the end. A raise on the Turn may be a cheaper way to tell you if the SB is slow playing something strong or was just taking a stab after the flop was checked around. Of course if you have information on the villain that could change things.

I agree with you, a reraise in the turn is better (Cheaper) and the effect is almost the same.
