Hero $20.43 in middle position
Villain $30.19 immediately to Hero's left
Hero and Villain have history. Villain doubled up through Hero several hands ago, by calling 66 in SB to Heros Button raise. Villain called an all high card flop and hit the 2 outer 6 on the turn.
Folds to Hero who opens for $8.5 with Qh Qs. Villain calls. and the rest of the table folds.

Pot is $1.84, flop comes 4d 9h 10s, No overs to the QQ so Hero bets #1.29. Villain calls

Pot is $4.38. Turn comes an 8c. No flush, but there is a possible straight on the board. Hero bets $2.92 and Villain calls

Pot is $9.89. River comes the As. Does Villain have an ace. What could she hold that has an ace? Hero checks and Villain raises $6.53, about 2/3s pot.. Hero calls.

Villain shows Jh 7d for a straight,

I think you did everything right. The only other option you had was to blocker bet the river for a small amount looking to fold to a raise. With three to the straight and an opponent that could very well hold all sets and two pair combos that doesn't seem like a great idea.

This is the player type you want to sit with for as long as you can. The reason they keep coming back is that they also turn the straight sometimes. Sucks it has to be you twice in a row, but that's just variance.
