How would you range villain? Flop bet? I feel like this wasnt a good hand for me and I need others' opinions. Villain seemed competent, nothing out of line. Thank you!

From your description, it's very difficult to know what happened and the bet sizes involved.

Would you be able to clear things up a bit?

I guess my point was that if you have already raised to 5X, how does villain then 3 bet to 2.8X?

That seems like a reduction.

Seem like you 4-bet to around 40BB and got called, which then created an 80BB pot with 60BB left behind. This is an extremely awkward spot, unless you have aces, so mainly I would simply not do this. I would either just call the 3-bet and hope, one of the limpers come along, make a very small 4-bet or move all in. As for Villains range, it should obviously be very strong, when he puts in 40% of his stack preflop. QQ+ or AK. Something like that. Unless he is a fish.
