Flop: (19.4 BB, 2 players) 5 7 T

Turn: (31.56 BB, 2 players) 5
Hero bets 9 BB, BTN raises to 29.2 BB, fold

BTN wins 47.08 BB

I decided to lead the turn because i would like to lead flushes and ace high flushdraws sometimes as well. When called, if i heart comes i will need this combo to bluff. Also, being the cbet on the flop so small his range should still be reasonably wide. Opponent seems like a good regular, 21/15/8(3bet) after 93 hands.

Is this play sound? Or should i just check range given IP player has the range advantage?

I don't think that leading when the 2nd 5 hits is telling a very credible story.

Maybe check-raise flop or turn, leading is difficult to balance I think. BTN shouldn’t have much of a range advantage on this flop I don’t think,
