This is a live $1/3 table at a local tribal casino.

UTG straddles to $6 with absolute last action. his stack is about $450

folds to my CO I have :3c4::3h4: and I raise to $20 off a stack of $850

only the straddler calls.

pot contains $44

flop :4c4::5d4::6s4:

He checks and I bet $25. He calls

turn :qs4: pot contains $94

I bet $75 and he quickly calls

river :7h4: pot contains $244

villain leads for $35

Hero? obviously I'm not folding but can I raise? he bet incredibly small.

also....in deciding how to play my hand I think I like the idea of barreling all 3 streets whether or not I hit. do we think 33 is a good candidate for this? I think by the time we reach the river an underpair is a great candidate to turn into a bluff as it has basically no showdown value.

His 35$ lead on the river is not even really a bet considering the size of the pot, so its best to pretend, he checked to us and consider this as a decision to either check behind or bet for value. And I certainly think, we can bet for value here. If he come over the top with a big 3-bet, we can fold.

Let me disagree with you, I think the small bet is inducing lanterns, because the villain probably has the main staircase.
These types of movements are classic ways to fool someone, what can we expect? That the villain has a 3?
I do not think so, I think it is above you. The call seems more acceptable in this case. Although it could also be a fold for this place.
Greetings.

Raise. He has a set or a queen.

The top end of the straight shouldn't have got this far against your betting. If you're not going for some value here, when are you?

I think this comes down to read on V. This could be a blocker bet with Qx, 2 pair or even a set of 7s. It could also be to induce though. How long have we been at the table with V? If they are straddling they are probably capable of bluffing. Also is our image wide enough to open the CO with any 8x? I can go either way with call or raise here depending on V. If we missed river I agree that we have no showdown value and should be bluffing some portion of the time unless V leads, then we can just give up.

I would definitely raise/fold the river.as stated before, I don’t see many 8s in his range. Therefore we will be fine.
With regard to bluffing range, wouldn’t we have some backspin flush draws that we would have to barrel too?
