Startingto play omaha hi/lo. So I am trying to get a feel of what hands to play and so on. I've just been betting like I do in omaha hi pretty much. Any suspect play here that I should be aware of? I found that my stats were way lower than in any other game. Maybe because I am just getting aclimated but I found less playable hands than in other games. Normal for hi.lo?

My thinking here was because it was headsup there would beno wierd chops so even if he hits a card that gives him A3 low I am not losing money, is this right thinking?

You got nut high on the flop and a decent shot at a good low hand. If he had a set you still got the money in good, and you will probably win the low hand unless he had like A223 but thats highly unlikely.
So IMO getting it in on the flop is fine (especially in micros where straight draws and worse flushes will call).
