Obviously did not work, cos he called. But is it ok to try to bluff in this situation? They all checked two streets in a row and it was a K, so I thought they probably don't have anything decent and I could use K as a scare card. I don't know, is this proper thinking?

I don't like it because you have to get it through 4 players. I would bet the turn though.

X river. because if any opponent has JJ+ or stronger made hand he wouldn't fold otherwise you win at showdown.

You should bet the turn, it seems like no one has anything there, since it got checked around. When you bet the river, you're only gonna get called by better (Kx), betting the turn would allow you to get called by a 4 on occasion.

Think about what hands come to the river... Is it possible for someone to have a Kx hand? Yes, definitely, it was checked around, they got to the river for free, a Kx is a possibility.

My question to you is, why would you want to bluff with your hand anyway? You have 3rd pair, you have showdown value - you beat any unpaired hands or smaller pocket pairs. When you bet there, you're not getting any better hands to fold or you're never getting called by worse.

It would make more sense if you tried to bluff with 7 high for example, because that way you're making better hands fold (but in this specific example, it would still be a bad spot to try and bluff with it).

Bet the flop. You have a decent hand on the flop & turn, but you decide to bet the river where nothing worse calls and nothing better folds. Looks like a mistake on every street to me.

Like others have said I like a bet on the turn since everyone checked the flop.

No this bet is not ok. You are talking about the K as a "scarecard", but the better hands, you are trying to fold out, is exactly KX. And of course nobody is "scared" of the K, if they have it, and they just made top pair.

The hands, that could bluff this river, are those, that would benefit from folding out hands, that are weaker than KX. If someone had 8 high, they could bluff and perhaps get other people to fold A high or weak pairs like 22, 54 or maybe even your hand T9.

Your hand was much to strong to turn it into a bluff, but also to weak to bet for value. You had, what is known as showdown value or a bluff catcher, and therefore you should have checked and made a decision, if someone else put in a bet.
