Hello everyone ! I'm new on the forum. I'm Alex, I'm from france and I try to grind the micros for the moment with the goal to go to NL25/50 to make a side income with poker.

No more talking, let's dive into the action.

I only have 18 hands on Vilain : 22/12/inf. He 3bet my raise x3 in position in the last hand but no specific read.

As I don't had a lot of info I saw him as most of NL2 players, loose passive.

Preflop : I thought he had either premiums or BS hand like K9s. So I decide to call, maybe the first mistake ...

Flop : I decided to donk bet because for me I'm in a 3bet pot against a typical NL2 player, have TP second kicker, so I have to build the pot. He calls.

Turn : I checked, I don't want to play a pot too big with the hand I have. Here he fires 70% pot bet. I fold ...

partypoker, Hold'em No Limit - €0.01/€0.02 - 5 players

UTG (Hero): €2.00 (100 bb)
CO: €2.00 (100 bb)
BU: €2.08 (104 bb)
SB: €2.32 (116 bb)
BB: €2.39 (120 bb)

Pre-Flop: (€0.05) Hero is UTG with K♠ Q♣
Hero raises to €0.08, 1 fold, BTN 3-bets to €0.18, 2 players fold, Hero calls €0.10

Flop: (€0.41) 6♥ 3♠ K♥ (2 players)
Hero bets €0.29, BTN calls €0.29

Turn: (€0.99) 2♠ (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets €0.69, UTG (Hero) folds

Total pot: €0.99 (Rake: €0.06)
BU wins €0.93

It turns out, vilain is a loose aggro with 42/31/4 and 16%3bet after 54 hands. I would of course had played the hand way differently.

What do you think ?

The Preflop

Your preflop raise is a little bit salty and out of proportion. If we consider we are playing millions of hands, and opening 15% range from UTG, which, of course, includes KQo, KJo etc, we cannot use this sizing for exploitative gaming, specially at the micros, where players only understand their absolutes equities.

Having said that it is fine to be raising KQ from early position, but when someone 3-bets, having position upon us postflop, we must really consider why are we going to flat:
Unless the opponent is real weak or very aggressive preflop, we can be either folding such combos or putting up a 4-bet bluff, but calling doesn't seem very optimal.

first of all you don't hand a good enough sample size of hands to have any reads on your villian. You need atleast 1k hands start thinking about villain tendencies.

Raise size UTG is fine. Folding KQo is also fine no need to defend OOP. On the folp you have a bluff catch. No reason to lead.

Don't donk into the pf 3 bettor on the flop.

And if you're folding the turn after hitting the flop, why call the 3 bet pf anyway?
