The minimum investment of the villain located in BB represents for this hand 20% of his stack. This implies an SPR for V of 5, which means an minimun postflop playability margin. The most profitable move for BB is a push doing a semi bluff from preflop. Since we play HU with BB this is an acceptable call, since V has a short stack (this indicates that possibly this player has a wider range of hands) and also our hand has a good equity against many possible combinations. The real problem would occur if V2 (CO) called the raise of V1. Without readings about V2, we could possibly find a more exploitative fold in this hypothetical case. But here we have at least an average 30% chance of winning the hand, while the net investment of our call represents 25% of our stack. So this is a profitable flip for this case.
Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero (osviman 2.0) is SB with A♣ K♥ 2 players fold, marty-ps85 (CO) raises to $0.06, 1 fold, osviman 2.0 (SB) 3-bets to $0.20, Si/\/\ioNi (BB) 4-bets to $1.42 (all-in), 1 fold
Hi guys so here is my question:
I'm playing NL2 Zoom in pokerstars.
I'm on the SB with AKo and make a 3bet against CO OR of 3bb.
I make 3 bet to 10bb and BB shoves 71bb. CO folds and I have to pay 61 bb to win 74.
What do you think is the best move here?
The best move by far is to fold preflop, unless we are expecting a ton of broadways instead of pocket pairs on Villain's ranges.
I say this because I am not a great fan of going all-in preflop with anything at cash games, because we basically only do it with QQ+ and AQs+.
I believe a call is in order.
Given the opening raise and your 3Bet ranges are going to be reasonably wide given position in the villains eyes. So a big part of the range is going to be a flip vs BB exception of AA and KK so a call here is totally fine.
In my humble opinion.
I can't say the correct way to play. But with the experience I've been playing with NL2 zoom for the last month, I say that for me it's an easy fold.
Rarely, very rarely the villain will show AQ, AJ, AT ... Probably he should have 99+ and a good chance of KK, AA, even though we have AK that blocks AA, KK a bit. Anyway, I try not to get involved in these types of spots, I believe that you'll have much better opportunities to earn money and should be a better player than the villain, there is no reason to get involved in these spots. It may seens a bit nit, but I'm only going all in pre-flop with KK or AA.
PS: Although the villain has a broken stack and is probably a bad player, I prefer to fold than flip.
re: Poker & $2 NLHE 6-max: 3bet AKo on SB vs BB All-in
Ak is a fold vs 4bet shove pre with 100bb plus at 2nl imo.
70bb is closer but still a fold VS a reggish player. They only ai pre with aa, kk and both beat you.
VS fish they stack of with smallish pairs and sometimes aq,aj sbws aswell.. But you're still flipping VS a big part of their range.
Reccomend folding cheaply
