Decided I want to become better playing 6max ring games, so I opened up a table today and played for around 40 minutes. Gonna post some of the hands from the session for discussion.

Stats from the session were 20/14/1 and I won 7.50

In the first hand the raise is fine because you have to protect your hand since a lot of overcards can hit on the turn/river. On the 3rd hand I think checking it down was fine as well because you're really prolly only gonna get called by betting the river here by a hand that has you beat.

On the 5th hand I would bet out or raise on the turn since he could check behind you for free on a draw or either bet as a semi-bluff on a straight or flush draw as well. I'd definitely bet that out right there because your top pair is really vulnerable to being outdrawn on and as for the 2nd and 4th hands you posted, why did you post these what'd you wanna get feedback on?

1st hand is fine, 2nd hand fine, 3rd hand - well you get nut fl dr here, most of the time I like to play this aggro and bet 2/3rds the pot, no problem with you calling the flop here though. As played it's fine.

Hand 4 - I will usually raise here with this hand in the co as you did - and I would have played it the same way on the flop.

The AJ hand, I probably double barrell this on the turn, for more value.

Nice session.

I actually like the turn check on the AJ hand. I'd be very confident he has an ace here so not much risk of drawing out. The only likely draw is spades, and we have the ace of spades, so that limits the possibilities somewhat (and gives us a redraw if the turn comes spades). When the second ace comes on the river, though, I think a check-raise is warranted. Betting scares off the busted draws and an ace probably has to bet and call a raise on that river.
