Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 26/23/1.9

villain is 26/23/1.9 with 3bet of 15 over 187 hands very aggro preflop but seems fairly passive postflop.

should i shove on turn or check down.

As played I'd just stick it in but I would never raise this flop.

Looks fine. I prolly make my flop raise a little bigger, but... details. Calling the flop is fine too.

He called you out of position, and a complete brick came down. There's no reason to think he would fold this board on the turn when he called the flop.

You should also consider 3-betting pre, but calling is likely your best line.

called rather than 3betting as the bb was a fish.

Eh yeah, I kind of want to 3bet pre. I like the flop raise but bump it to around 3-3.25. In game I'd probably just bomb turn but c9 is right, he's prob not folding

Pre is good especially if there is a fish behind. I'd probably check the turn as played. Effective stacks are a bit awkward as well.

Don't really like raising this flop. As played i'd bet about $3.60 and shove the river to generate max FE. I think you've gotta go with the bluff the whole hand once you raise the flop.

yeah, when we raise the flop what are we repping? When you raise flop and check turn you are repping nothing but a draw.

I would bet this turn card. I'm thinking if you check here it is screaming you are on a draw. After he called your flop raise, what do you think his range of hands are that he would keep playing? I'm thinking at least 2 pair here.

This is 10NL, villain is not thinking about what we're repping. If he's holding an ace, he's paying us on the river.

This isn't limit.

We didn't call preflop to flop 987 diamonds. Presumably we called to flop big equity and put pressure on a timid player who plays too wide a range preflop. Raising this specific flop is pretty terrible imo but since we're here and he didn't stick it in we can rule out AK+ from his range so let's keep the pressure on him and not be resigned to losing the pot 33 out of 45 times.

BTW, everyone reading this site would probably benefit from eliminating the phrase "this is XX NL, blah blah blah." Just because it's 10 NL doesn't really give you an excuse to play poorly and if you're going to take such obvious and ridiculously unbalanced lines even mentally incapacitated people can put you on a pretty tight range.
