Don't really think you know what the definition of a value bet is (despite me typing it at least twice in this thread). To value bet has absolutely nothing to do with the size of the bet. Min bet or shove and everything in between can all be a value bet.
As for a value bet bluff, well you just made that term up.
I would raise now.
Let's find out if he's coming along for the ride or if he's just taking a stab at the pot.
If he's on the draw, make him pay for it.
If he has a pocket pair again I want him to pay for it.
fold pre
$2.50 on turn
fold pre
$2.50 on turn
Why fold pre? Villain has full stack to pay us off when we hit our set.
I've seen a few value bet bluffs in my time, i'd say that hand is nothing but a value bet bluff cafeman!
Actually we rarely have huge implied odds here. Villain is 26/21 and he's opening from the CO. In fact I'd say folding preflop is correct unless we think we can win the pot a fair amount of time when we don't hit a set which may be possible considering that villain didn't cbet. Then again we didn't try to take the pot with a flop bet so I doubt that OP was playing it for anything more than set value.Do not fold pre, on the button with a hand with huge implied odds agaianst a full stacked villain
Is this a value bet bluff? 1st hand, no history with villain.
