PokerStars - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (BB): $13.30
SB: $8.20

SB posts SB $0.05, Hero posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has 2:heart: 2:spade:

SB calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.50, SB calls $0.40

Flop: ($1.00, 2 players) J:diamond: 2:diamond: 7:diamond:
Hero bets $0.70, SB calls $0.70

Turn: ($2.40, 2 players) K:diamond:
Hero checks, SB checks

River: ($2.40, 2 players) K:heart:
Hero bets $12.10 and is all-in, SB calls $7.00 and is all-in

No real reads, only 4 hands, but he was short so I figured he was fishy. Are you guys okay with the big overbet shove on the river? I figured I was only called by made flushes anyway.

I think so also. Part of the reason I posted this is it reminded me of ComplexPlaya's 1k post. From his hand analysis posts and advice, he seems to overbet a lot more than most micro players, and shoving the river here seemed like a pretty good application of the concepts in his 1k post.

No. Just gotta think I'm ahead of their calling range, like with any bet really (and that range is a big enough part of the range that got to the river)

You know if you raise a decent size here, you don't have to overbet the riv.

Yes I know, but why would I raise a decent size on a bluff when I thought that size worked fine too? I don't want him to actually call you know

It was my first hand vs him, no idea my implied odds were actually that good

Oh, lulz, I just looked at the bet sizing, not your actual cards :p

In that case, I think the turn raise is spew.

Can anything ever please you? :(

My thinking : the flop-donk is probably not a good hand since it's not a c/r, it can certainly be a draw of his own. The min-bet on the flop was really weak so I thought I'd take it down lots here. I still like my move, I think it would work vs a lot of unknowns

This is from a donkament, so take that fwiw, and this is thin in a vacuum but people in donkaments don't give you credit for anything when you take weird lines.
