Been an online player for a while now and I'm looking to get into live games, I was wondering what you guys wear for special outfits? I'm thinking about wearing a scarf to hide possible leaks.
Thank you for posting.
I wear a scarf but that is because I know I have a tell. I only wear it when 1k or more is at risk.
The level of game you play matters. In a 1-2 2-3 NL live no one is looking. 2-5 few players are looking.
The key to your dress should be to not reveal what type of player you are. So if you sit at my table with a hoodie and sunglasses I know you studied poker and then I focus on your play to see what strat you are using. Good LAG or online LAG yet to adjust to live.
You want to seem to be a rec player so dress accordingly. Try not to be noticed so no one thinks about you until they have to on the all-in river decision.
Hope this helps
Depends where. If I'm with my buddies, jeans and a t-shirt will do. If I'm at the casino, maybe a nice button down shirt (no tie)
Like anything, dress comfortably you may be there for a while, hopefully. I do not try and hide anything, part of the game is to learn to control tells or use them to your advantage. I have not mastered any of that yet.Been an online player for a while now and I'm looking to get into live games, I was wondering what you guys wear for special outfits?
