So it's my opinion that I have a hard time making an opinion about when Vegas should re-open. The difficulty isn't the LV would become another NYC, but it would export the disease faster to all corners of the country. Maybe that would be a good thing for someone who's following the whole "herd immunity" thing. IDK...

What's y'all's thoughts on reopening LV. Now, Later, or Much Later?

Worse is this could spread another wave around the world. If they do reopen I hope my country bans anyone from travelling there and also stops anyone coming to the country from the USA.

Handling chips and cards is a sure way of spreading virus around and should be one of the last things to reopen and only once there is a vaccine.

I think they should be closed indefinitely until a vaccine is made. Las Vegas is a huge tourist destination and I can see them wanting to be open as they need the cash flow but it’s not a safe thing to do at this point. Too many people will travel in and then spread it around even more. It’s a tough but necessary decision until this is fixed.

Although with Trump leading the country who knows.....

I think Vegas carries a huge risk to everyone around, and while many cautious players will opt to stay at home for a while even when casinos reopen, there will surely be tourists who will just flow into the games so I think it should surely be closed at least for a couple of coming months, but it is hard to say how everything will develop.

Coronavirus is a disease that has finally and forever entered our lives. Over time, we will each get over this infection. Someone easily, someone in the next world. And if we sit in quarantine until the new year, we will not overcome this infection. This will lead to the collapse of the economy of many countries and the age of looting as the people will be left without means of livelihood. When the flu outbreak in 1974, measures like today's were not taken and people live. Talk of a" second hump of coronavirus " like a camel is only plausible if we continue to be locked up. There are also three-humped camels. It's time to realize the reality and lift restrictions.

Las Vegas has been one of my vacation destinations for one or two trips a year (more when I was single). It is one of my favourite places to visit. But I am in a very high risk category (senior with heart issues), so open or not, it will be a long time before I return.

BTW...that's my son 15 years ago, not me in the photo

This subject is so tiring , it hurts my fingers. Corona is here to stay , The potential for vaccine is YEARS away . So keeping everything closed and people so distant is just slowly killing everybody , not corona.

I can't wait for Vegas to open again!

BUT - and I am serious about this question - will you get on an elevator with 5 other strangers going up 10 floors to get to your hotel room??

Honestly - I am not sure when I will be ready to get on that elevator.
I guess there are more ways to gamble in Vegas than just blackjack and roulette....

Be well!

I'm alright with the state itself opening, but you make a great point about tourism and thus think that flights shouldn't be allowed in and out until we know we have a cure

They should re-open. Closing the economy is not helping anyone.

I personally won't be returning to Vegas until there is a long period of time with no major outbreaks or a vaccine.

I do understand that they need to open back up at some point and hopefully there will be some strict guidelines in place.

no

It is very personal, there are people who are accepting of this virus and others are not, it will be at the discretion of each person, I would not go to public and closed events, just for prevention, I would wait a little more time to attend
