Ok so you're in a tournament and you cash for $1000. How much do you tip the dealer?
A: 1%
B: 2%
C: 5%
D: 0%
My answer is D. No tips. The money is mine. I earned it. Dealers get paid. I have the risk not them.

Congrats man. I played my first WSOP event last year as well. The Big 50, and cashed for $1001. I didn't leave any additional tip for the dealers but in the future I think if the "rake" structure for the tournament seems fair and I cash for a decent amount I may leave a small tip as you did here. If I run very deep, I may be more generous. Assuming that there were no major issues with dealers during the tournament of course.I played in the Colossus at the WSOP last summer and cashed for $646. When I went to the cage, I was asked if I wanted to leave a portion of my cash for the dealers...I left $20. While waiting in line for my turn, I did notice that out of about 25 other players cashing in at the same time, not one left a tip. Now $20 is not much, but if most players left even a small amount, it would certainly help the dealers who work for minimal wages.
