Do I believe that a good luck charm or other superstitions actually have the ability to change the outcome of a given poker hand through some form of magic? No. However, to the extent that a charm may change one's state of mind, then in this case I suppose there is the potential for a talisman to affect the outcome of a player's decision, and subsequently influence the play at the table. Personally, I'm not one that rests his hat on charms or superstitions.

i agree luck (variance) huge factor so i leave zero to chance!
i have a small stuffed giraffe, i sure this brings luck for me - helped me pass my Sociology final!
so my small giraffe right here under monitor always
plus i have two chips from Las Vegas (i play blackjack there never poker - i too shy)
a $1 light blue from Golden Nugget &
a $1 white from Rio

so far not work, bring me much poker luck - but i a patient girl lol

I do not use/employ and good luck talisman. That said, I prep for a session in the same manner day in and out.


As I always log in early...I wake up even earlier to work out/walk then shower/shave before log in and play.


This routine ensures I feel mentally prepped and prepared. Even if I have a poor day/run bad I seldom feel I started play unprepared.

I use a special coin they hand out at the Venetian in Vegas during the Extravaganza series. It's the coin from the tournament I won that summer.

Meditation is my daily ritual that allows me to be more focused and patient.

yes, I always wear my lucky medal, although I don't get lucky sometimes haha

I believe in talisman, I only play if I have my chain from my holy warrior (saint jorge).

Of course there is luck in poker, but there is also mathematical probability.

The strength of the hands influence a lot.

Far better to depend on luck with a hand that is fairly fair, than to risk everything on one you are most likely to lose.
