Hi guys!!! I just want to ask some question I hope someone know the answer. Some of the casino have the royal flush jackpot. You can win the jackpot if you hit the royal flush at the flop. My question is what is the odds of hitting the royal flush at the flop? I know its very tricky question. (by the way thank you CC I'm a freeroll club member now).

There are 2598960 unique 5-card poker hands (C(n,r) = C(52, 5) = 2598960). 4 of those are royal flushes. So, the odds of one specific player flopping a royal flush would be 4-in-2598960, or 1-in-649740.

The casinos with the Royal Flush on the Flop Jackpot are probably not paying the odds needed to get that 1 in 650,000 result. I bet most players who find two Royal Flush cards in their hand stay to see the flop, in the hopes of winning that Jackpot. The system just creates bigger pots and more rake - for those few hands that see those cards. A similar situation exists for the Badbeat Jackpots - players with two cards that 'could' be part of a bad beat often stay to see the flop, turn, or river, when they should be folding. Basically, both are 'sucker promotions'. But, I am still hoping to win a bad beat jackpot someday.

To this day I've never hit a royal flush. I've only seen it once ever in live poker.

3/50 x 2/49 x 1/48 is the answer. 6/????? I don't want to multiply right now.

I do not know what about live casinos for Royal Flush to fall on the flop, but I'm online
poker dropped out once in 5 years, a royal flush on the flop, I think that the chance is very small for the coincidence of such a combination on the flop for the jackpot!
