That is a tough one because I find this happens to me. I just try the obvious and take a little breather and ignore him or her.Sometimes I get in some pretty heated shit talk with other players.

I play online and rarely pay attention to the players chat.

i do not pay attention to these players, it is difficult to me to confuse the conversation in the chat online at the poker table

I try to use this to my advantage and channel to bring down the guy. As soon as I have a good chance to humiliate him, both in the conversation and in the game, I will. Lack of respect is treated aggressively. We're not in a school, we're in poker.

Friends do not exist at the poker table

I think it does not exist friends at the poker table cause obviously other players want to win so basically they want you to lose and that is ok that is basically the game I guess but I still like to talk with other players at the poker cause I think it is funnier play poker and have a good talk at the same time but always trying to focus on my game and if I have to play against the players I was talking to well then I'll be willing to play my best game.

it is good too make friends while we play poker but at the poker table without compassion and then we can be friends outside of the poker table.

Depends on the game. I dont mind a little convo online , let's me know there are at least players alive. At live cash tables again I dont mind chatting, a super serious table to me gets boring overtime especially if you're grinding for hours on end. If youre into politics however I'll tend to pile the bear just to see how much you hate the current state of affairs.

Typically I will sing to them.

The thread name has nothing to do with chat. If you have seen a pair game of several players from the same country at the final table. then immediately write to the security service about the conspiracy. you must provide at least 5 screenshots of the game confirming the pressure on you.

I separate the friendly opponents from no friendly friends, but it is used only to keep my mindset ok, I talk with friendly with every player as much as possible. I hate to talk about poker and anyone talking about it all the time on the table. I've learned that it is important to try to take the mood of table to recreative side talking about any other matter excepting poker, pretending you are ever kidding in the game, playing for fun, for your opponents are distracted about the game. All people will like to be with you and you will be covertly ready to get money in the game.

Remember: Avoid to talk about poker on the tables, only talk about it when is possible to get some advantage doing this.

Be cool about crazy players and be the best happily, ever.

Shrug it off and ignore them...wait for an opening and let your cards do the talking.

Online I have turned my chat off more bad than good in the chat, Live maybe bring headphones and listen to some music or just let it go

Silence is a good friend

I stay in silent as no one likes to talk alone. He stops talking and I focus only on the game.

Online I keep my chat turned off and ignore comments. In the casino here they usually speak visayan or tagalog so I dont understand most of it. If I know they are talking smack I just smile and wait for a hand I can check raise them with. LOL!

Since this is in the live poker section, I'm assuming the OP is talking about live, not online.

You do get idiots who post crap when you beat them. Like how the F#@k can you call that your s**t etc. Really they don't understand poker for instance it's a bounty tourney calling ranges become wider and they shove and your committing 1/5 of your stack to make a call with 97 suited for a decent size bounty you've got decent equity with such a hand. Just ignore idiots like this I just laugh and I will occasionly reply when I beat them to get them even more steamed but I wouldn't do it unless they abuse me

Well I thought that as well actually but everyone seemed to be posting online comments. In a live game I just try and block it out and not get rattled into making the mistakes they are trying to tilt you into making although not faced this too much apart from the odd player debating how could you call with that hand against his pocket 9s shove when you outflop him
