Local threads?

I was curious if anyone knows of any sites or forums that connect local players for home games. I live in Maine, and don't personally know anybody who plays poker anymore. Used to have a monthly home game just for kicks, but that crew kinda went their own way. Now that I'm getting deeper into poker I was hoping to try to get some live game experience, but don't want to make a run at the one local casino yet as one buyin there would put my bankroll in an all or nothing situation.

My Opinion

I think you need to try sportsbetting.ag. They have a lot of games based on sports. You kinda play there to get to the sports game to cash in the next day.

Another option for getting more live action play would be to find a local tavern/bar league. The play may/may not be great (you'll have to determine that) but it would help you get more live action practice without risking your bankroll.

One warning, though. If the play is not good, you run the risk of picking up bad habits.
