hi everyone. so i have been playing poker for some time now and i have been thinking about moving into the casino's. i know that there are alot of sharks in there and i was curious to see if anyone had any good feedback for me for my move into real life poker. obviously you have to keep your poker face and stuff like that when people can actually see you. you need to play smart and not chase stuff. but is there any key points that i should start thinking about before i move into the casino, or anything that i can practice online before i go? any information would help because ive only ever played in a casino one time and i did ok. just curious if you guys can give me some helpful tips before i go put some real money on the line. i appreciate all the help anyone can give.

It would probably be best if you try cash games, and perfect your strategy there. Live tournaments (excluding bigger events that have good structures) are generally just a lotto, where luck is a primary factor. The variance is very high and there isnt much edge from skill.

Cash games are any pro player's bread and butter. That's where they make money the most. Tournaments can be enticing because the small investment can lead to big wins, but you are going to have to run very good to win one. They are usually over in 3 or 4 hours. The structures are terrible.
