So I play mainly 2/5 and 5/10 at my local casinos. There always seems to be 1 or 2 guys at the table that always have to make it known they have money and they just really don't care, So my question is - Do you allow these players to affect you in any way shape or form? Now me because I play at the tables consistently with these types of players , I have noticed overtime that they actually carry some big tells. They are also the ones that can put you on tilt the quickest because of their whole Mind set of "I'm just going to call $1000 doesn't mean anything to me". I know a lot of people hate these types of players because their range is pretty much everything and anything but if you watch them close enough you start to realize their range is a little tighter than everything they are just trying to see how easy the table folds with a bet. So again , Do you try and get your money off of these types of players or do you try and switch tables when realizing they are that type because you're trying to actually play poker not play roulette ?

I think the answer is "Yes, of course." Their behavior is another variable that has to be factored in. If you know they play a wide range very aggressively, that's good data. If you they are consistently 3-betting light, that's good data. Use that data and adjust. It only stops being poker after you start throwing money into pots without thinking, otherwise, adjust and exploit your opponents.

Yeah I definitely think you should be wanting to play against these big money types of players. If you get a good read on them that's like hitting the jackpot. Just don't alter your game to adjust to them and you'll be printing money. Of course the bad beats will come but playing your best against them will produce very good results.

and that's the thing, a lot of people are intimidated by these sorts of players because the overall fear of "what wont they call" but to me you gain more equity out of them over a shorter period of time rather than playing at a table full of tight players and only getting a decent amount of chips every couple of hours.

Recreational players like these are the best players to play vs and make money.

Variance is a lot higher, but so is your edge.
