Guys, I'm looking for some articles on poker etiquette, but I can't find anything regarding a hand that happened last week.
I preflop raise to 4$ from the button.
SB and BB both call.
Flop comes 2-9-9
I C-bet with my A high and SB thinks about calling, at which point BB says to him:" If you call, I call too. I'm getting good value". Is this sort of behavior acceptable in life poker?
Do you happen to have a link to an article that presents a similar case? Do you have similar experiences?
Cheers.

It depends to much of the dealer, the director and the rules that each cardroom has.
In your position I had talked with the dealer and the players that they don't have to influence in the decision when a players has to act .

Live, you shouldn't be talking if you're out of the hand. To me online poker is completely different in this aspect. If a poker site doesn't block your chat when you've folded, they apparently don't have a problem with you influencing play between other players. But...it probably depends on the 'rules' of the game host whether or not you can do that. It would be imperative on the host to lay down clear ground rules if they're going to impose penalties. If you're still in a hand, live or online, chat is information, so use it.

Although this action depends on several factors, such as the dealer's decision or the home rule of the game, I also have the same doubt. Is there no regulation for the game in general?

The problem is trying to decipher whether someone is being unethical or actually breaking a rule. You are NOT allowed to make comments like that in pretty much every live poker room but in the online world it is more of a grey area.

Unfortunately, its something you will occasionally have to deal with in the online game as idiots abound on most sites.

Well, the BB was in the action too, so I believe that talking like this is part of the strategy of the game. If he was out of the hand, the things would change!

I played in a club where the rules were rigid only in tournaments, cash games has flexible rules, but still no one that was out of hand interfered in the game.

I consider discussing a hand that's being played, especially your example, to be collusion.

Generally i think that this is not correct because BB should wait his/her turn before doing anything. It is the same like saying check or raise without waiting your turn and this is definitely forbidden. Unfortunately during online game you can not control what happens in the chat so some players can use such approach in their advantage.

It was a live cash game, not online.
Basically I raised the button and the big bind told the small blind that if he just calls, he’ll also just call, not raise. I got upset and folded my hand right away. The Big Blind took down the pot.

It boarders on collusion, it is definitely not good poker etiquette. Should have waited until the person acted to make a comment. Would have ask the dealer to advise them of the table talk and then call poker floor supervisor over.

It would have been more appropriate to say after the person acted, "hey, would called if you did" or I'll call, looks like like I'm priced in.

I don't know of any links on the subject but I did read an article in Ante Up about it. But one thing I can tell you is that was completely unacceptable behavior. Thats actually borderline collusion. If it was at a casino I think the floor should have been called and possible punishments handed out. I mean come on you can under no circumstances say anything to effect the decision of another player at the table. Phil Helmuth was just hammered on twitter a while back for having an outburst that ulitimately caused another player to bust a tourney, (he later promised to buy the guy into the following years main). Its definitely something I wouldnt put up with at my table.
