Does it feel the same as playing online or very different?

It's a bit different, but as long as you can control the emotions you show you'll be fine. It's the same game played in different platforms, and the math applies to both. The difference is that you won't have softwares to help you keep count of the opponents actions

Why don't you gather your friends and try to play?

It is much easier to play online. But I find LivePoker more funny. You have the real Chips and real Cards and You can read Your Opponents Faces. But there is no difference in the Game itsself.Only online it is faster.
I have only played in a few HomeGames with my Family, but here is no better experience.

I've never played live poker, but I plan to play sometime! The problem is that in the city where I live there are no options to play live poker... :(

Try to gather some friends that are interested in poker and play, you'll get a bit of experience from this and it might help when you really play for money :)

I never played offline poker too. Now in country where I live we have poker official, thinking about start playing offline, but I have a big problem with my eyes and don't want to wear glasses. But at all, my opinion that offline poker is much easier. In long distance if you train your emotes, your skills, you can get/give alot more information in offline poker. Maybe I am wrong, but for me it looks like that.

Different because you get to read your opponents in person.

I did not have to play live, but I know that the difference is great. Internet, you practically play anonymously. Everyone is watching your emotions while playing. Difficult to control yourself inexperienced player.

I have a similar problem. In the online game for a long time for 5 years.
And I have never played in a tournament in a live, in the near future expect to play in a live tournament.

unfortunately I do not have many friends who play poker and the few who play have changed from my town.
I need to train a lot before playing live, as it was said, "you can read your opponents". I think that would be a negative point for me.

Playing live is a rush, its my favourite and to be honest, you cant replicate it.

To sum live play up, you need a certain level of confidence, you defo need to believe in your own ability and i find live play easier than online play as i back myself with live tells and reads on perfect strangers..
Deepstack and Freezeout tournaments are my favourite with big blinds as well as turbo tourneys with a decent buy in...
My advice to anyone wanting to play live for the first time is - go and watch if you can rail or alternatively just buy in and throw yourself into the deep end - you will soon learn the tricks - trust me :)

Best Wishes

It's way better and way less rigged. I highly recommend it!

Online play is actually harder than live as the players are better online. It is a lot more fun to play live though but the action is much slower. I prefer to play live though.

It's different for sure.
I played my 1st live poker this month. In Vegas no less!
As forum members will know I am quite an aggressive player but I found myself playing very tight and it worked for me.
I played 2 sessions.
Was stuck nearly half my buy in from both sessions and came out a winner in both.
DO it. It is so much fun

I only play at home with my wife and relatives. My friends do not want to learn. I never played in a club, in my city there are none, but this beginning of the month I go to the nearby city to play live for the first time, I'm very anxious.

Just relax and don't play a single hand for an hour. Just watch and see how they are all playing. Is somebody ignoring pot odds? Who at the table really seems to know what they are doing?

You will be fine. Don't tell any of them it is your first time. They are not your friends at the table. They will gladly take your money - so you should gladly take theirs!

Good luck !

It is less than distributions in an hour. Online to players who got used to play from 200 to 1000 distributions an hour, to put it mildly, it will be dullish. While in the virtual world of the card change every minute, in a live game you will be hit in a starting hand, for example couple of Aces, only each seven hours. Worse level of players. It is well-known that on average players in offline poker weaker. Though there are idiots ready in a tilta to waste thousands of dollars, trying to bluff in the player on long loaf, on the present weak players ("fish") come to casino just for communication or familiarizing with "beautiful life".
