Im a fish. Very rare i go to play in a casino, so a night out for a live game was on the cards.
£60 buy in, 54 players, 9 places paid.
5 hours later i have been running very good. Im chip leader by a long way.
Clock is paused and a discussion to make a deal.
£2180 prize money in the pot
£770 first place them tiers down to £190 fith.
What was proposed by a lower stack was £400 each and play for £180 remaining.
I refused for 2 reasons.
I really wanted the £770 and in my head had already spent it.
I worked hard to get my chip stack and felt an even split wasn't fair.
What would you have done?

You could have asked for a split based on chip count, or have said you want 580 and they can each take 400 if your stack was that superior, or of course you can opt not to take a deal and clean them out for the full 770. You are under no obligation to make a deal, so if I'm you I would make a good deal for myself or play it out.

You are the chip leader by far, £2180 prize money in the pot

After 5 Hours you are the Chip leader, No Deal, It will be silly to accept their offer.
Just keep playing and get all their money! :call2:

If you're chip leader by a longshot then yeah no Chop. If it was like a close match between all stacks Usually Ill come to a chop because you're technically losing money on the back end. I'm not a greedy person I see value in Time.

Yah dont make a deal. Its good practice when you try to win it all. Now if everyone at final table had same chip stack and blinds are really big. Then makeup a deal ! Good luck

Yup....I'll take 1st and you guys chop the rest. Otherwise keep playing.

They always want to gut first place money.

They will whine - but what choice do they have ?

You get to the final table so rarely that you got to go for the brass ring - especially as a self-proclaimed fish!

Good luck !
