I’ve played on them on a cruise and at Mohegan Sun. Mohegan Sun had them briefly. The players didn’t like them and they didn’t last very long. The game tables were ok but it felt like playing online. I definitely would prefer regular tables and not electronic. The shuffle algorithm is never completely random and despite what anyone tells us the RNG is always questionable to some. BTW I’m not a conspiracy theorist, nor am I a proponent of the “rigged” argument.

Haven't played them, but I've seen them. I don't like them. I like seeing the cards shuffled and dealt. But who knows what will happen in the future.

If I wanted to play electronic poker, I'd just stay home and play on my 'puter. No thank you to these machines.

None of the casinos with good poker rooms will ever do that. I have only seen them on cruise ships.

Saw them at a casino in mexico.

It was me (gringo) and 8 locals at an electronic table. My screen language was English. And, they had that 3M screen blur film that prevented the player next to you from seeing your hand on your screen. Basically you had to be looking at your screen straight ahead to see it.

I did not enjoy this experience. Probably because I did not have success at this table. I was the last to be seated and I expect other players shifted seats after they saw how card dead that seat was. The only hand I won in 2-hours was w AK and I chopped w AK lol.

Live cards are very different. For example electronic cards do not burn cards - nor do they actually "shuffle" - these are live play terms and concepts. And there are dealer errors that happen with live cards that would never happen with electronic cards.....such as a card flying off the table accidentally....or any exposed/boxed cards for that matter.

Good luck !

I saw one at a Casino in canada , If you're a true poker player they are TERRIBLE. it feels like you're playing a slot machine rather than an actual table game. No Profitable casino would ever completely change their rooms to that. It'd be something like they do with roulette and blackjack and just have a Certain area for computer poker

When NLHE first came to the Casino de Montreal (2007?), they used electronic tables. It had something to do with a Quebec law that prevented Casinos from providing table games that involved players playing against each other instead of the House.

Between slightly wonky touch screens, having to cover the screen while you checked your cards, and lack of a dealer running the game, they sucked - big time. My first casino "live" poker experience. The law has since been amended, but I never played with live dealers at the casino.

I'd never go to the casino to do that. I want to play with a real deck, with real chips. Other wise I would just stay at home and play online.

I personally never once tried the e-table.

I used to play at the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa and they had 1-2 electronic tables starting in probably 05-06, and they stayed busy on weekend nights, but I think it was a novelty that people tried a few times then went back to the live dealer tables.

The Seminole website doesn't say if they still have electronic tables or not after all these years

Wow, even electronic tables are invented now, just stick to oldschool cards.

I have seen some casinos use them, and they are bad. The software is not even close to a bad site online.

I'd love to try the electronic tables some day but it seems to lack a lot of what makes live poker such a great game.

With live poker there are far less hands per hour (often leading to impatience from those that are card dead) and there are tells you can glean from how people bet their chips, the table banter that there is, people exposing their holdings during a hand, etc etc

I would be willing to try them in the casino if the rake was lower. A lower rake and no need to tip the dealer after every hand you win might just make them worth while to play.

I have seen them and played on them in "semi" casinos (usually racetracks that have included slots to horse racing). You are still facing live players, but the cards are electronically dealt and shuffled. It is much faster than live, so the number of hands per hour is higher. The big downside is that the speed of the game does not allow much conversation.
