Hi guys I’m just after your thoughts on a hand that occurred at friendly game last night... ( Texas Hold em’)

4 players , the cards were dealt , small and big blinds are in , the 2 players behind also call. The flop comes over, Small blind bets , big blind folds , call, fold. The turn comes over , again small blind bets, it is at this point the player left to act makes it known he has only just realised he has been dealt 3 cards! Is it a misdeal completely or is it just his hand that is now dead and therefore small blind wins the pot??

Cheers guys.

It's too much of alcohol were drunk by the player on Button. :D
Now seriously, i stay for cancel that hand, split chips in pot and give them back to the players. And finally send the player who was dealing home sleep him sober. :)
However i think, at those moment all of you should have pretty enough from alcohol already, if the guy dealt three cards and NOBODY at the table noticed that instantly?! Holly smoke, you had a party there! :D

I agree with alien. How can no notice til now. But imo def a misdeal. Return chips to everyone. Re deal. That's only fair way imo. Wonder if there is even official way this would be handled in casino. As id think it would never get that far normally

Looked online and some say had he realised before he acted pre flop it would of been a misdeal, however as he didn’t realise until after he acted his hand is now dead and the hand continues as normal.
