Hey guys,

Is anybody on here a poker dealer? I'm curious what the pros and cons are for being one, as well as what the process is like for actually becoming one. I've been thinking recently that it could be something I'd be into.

Any input would be much appreciated! Thanks.

At a minimum, this should be legal in your country, and you must work in an institution that is licensed. Otherwise, this is the same work as any other.

I think you need to fill in an application, having experience always helps but casinos do provide training as well. Also, sometimes there are job fairs with interviews on the spot, why not contact your local casinos and ask about it, if they don't have any openings at the time, they will at least put your information in their database and contact you in the future. Another thing you could do is sit down at the poker table and play, give a good tip to the dealer after you win a hand and casually ask him about the process. If none of the above work, maybe consider becoming a drug dealer instead. You will still be surrounded by addicts, but make a lot more money (just joking) :)

I think you need to have good nerves. Some players blame the dealer for their losses.
