Online in a 1,000 guaranteed tourney.

1) play in an unlimited rebuy for $3.30 with 150 people playing it.

Or

2) Play for $22 with no rebuys with 50 players in it.

Option 1, just because it's so cheap. :)

I would prefer option #2 I think the field would be much more stable

which is the biggest winning loser ?

For me, the biggest winning win was a 100,000-euro tournament from the unibet series 1 that I attended after winning a £ 100 ticket to a raffle. At the middle of the tournament I was first but afterwards lost on a big pair almost all the chips. If I knew to throw with two of maybe, maybe it was my best win.

I would play on the 2nd option, the less players, the better chances to get further.

Option 2

Option 2 for me. When there is rebuy players tend to play any which way especially if they are unlimited:jd4:;):jd4:

I will always choose the 2) Play for $22 with No rebuys and 50 players.
The unlimited rebuy option is a sick option for careless players betting all in every time until they get lucky. :call:

$3 RB/A with 150 players.

Just late register last minute, take add-on for ~average stack, and play the rest of the MTT as a freezeout.

Likely a lot of players have busted, so you probably only have to get through ~100 left. Assuming ITM is 12.5%, ~18 players get paid compared to 6/50 getting ITM.

So, field side is doubled but you only pay $6.60 total vs $22 and have more 12 ITM spots at the cost of having to get through 44 more players.

If $22 is your total BR, this gives you 3 chances to do well. Also 50 * $22 = $1,100. 150 * $3.30 = $495, assume 100 rebuy and add-on, that's $660 + $495 = $1,155. So, the rebuy is giving a bigger prize pool at 1/3 the price (if you late register). Considering that there can be multiple rebuys from players, the prize pool can potentially be even larger.

Has there been an overlay on the 1st option or have they been crushing the guarantee? Second option already covers guarantee and it's easier to win.

Also what is our bankroll? This will go into the decision factor

Also I'm assuming the structure is the same on both tournaments?

What’s the matter with crazy?🤪

I like the OSMB Strategy. Guarantee or not. For around ten bucks you are not that far from a cash. This gives two shots. The $22 I’ll assume will pay maybe six or 15%. Maybe I just have a short attention span but this seems like a good plan.

Right now I’m pondering a similar situation. But I believe it’s a negative.

(Apparently it won’t load my screen shot. $10 nearing the end of late reg.)

Not a rebuy. The plus is around 50 left out of 166 buys. The minus is average is 3.5 x buy-in. Leader is 12x Buy-in.

Blinds are 1100 or roughly 25% /round.

That’s the thing. You will be “all in or fold” from the outset. If you can’t double in the first ten minutes you’re out. OTH, at least you didn’t waste all that time [emoji848].

BUT,
It’s only fifty left and pays 36. 2/3 of the remaining players money. You will need to move up the ladder to do much but ...

I would prefer the 2nd option.
But my bankroll says NO !

Rebuy MTTs are often a bit too crazy for me in the early stages. Too many players just trying to get lucky and double up...
On the other hand they pay you when you are dealt a monster early on and give you the fast start they were looking for.

option 2 without a doubt, although the amount of buy-in is bigger and the places to pay are less, but it is much more profitable, it is also a tournament a little more normal than the rebuys

Hmm... 1st option can be cool depending on late-reg and eventual prize-pool. The 2nd is more enticing since you're closer to the $. Where are the games being played at?

Of course, 2nd option. Tournaments with unlimited rebuys not for me,because they are so long and many players very aggresive.

My opinion

I like the no rebuy with less people. This is because the more people their are in a tournament, the more winners there will be. This will lead to less money you make when you place.

2. I dislike the concept of people essentially buying in to a tournament for different amounts. That's what a cash game is for.

Definitely option 2. I personally don't like rebuys so I like playing Freezeouts where players can't rebuy once they're knocked out.
