Why do people play online poker?

Hi, I am a new online poker player. I play online poker because it is convenient and I don't need to go to a casino. I can play on my bed, which is the best thing for me. So I wonder why you guys play online poker?

its real easy to stay home and play
going anywhere takes a lot out of me

Online you see many more hands than life, even though edges are A LOT smaller, overall it adds up to a higher hourly playing online. Thats the reason for me anyway

simply because there's more money to be made, wide variety of poker games, you can simply find the one you are good for a better win rate and you can multi-table if you're good enough... there are so many different reasons why online poker is popular

It's easy and convenient. You can even do other stuff at the same time like respond to emails.

Convenience for sure, I love playing at home in my comfy clothes.

I play online because it removes all of the negative variables that affect me when I play at a casino. I'm talking specifically about time and having to wait for the table. Also, I hate waiting for hands to be completed.

I play online cause, it is fun and exciting, winning tournaments. I like playing online ,cause anytime I can make some food . When I am hungry or just grab a beer from the beer fridge beside my computer. Also I don't like really talking that much so better for myself.

I love being able to just chill on my couch and play ....being able to find a game literally 24/7..... I can play at some pretty odd hours so that's pretty nice.

I live in Texas, so I have to drive to Oklahoma to find a Casino.

I play online because of the convenience but also because you can get more volume compared to a live game so more opportunities to put what you're studying into your game.

The thing I like about it is that you can play for free. Nothing beats having everything to gain and nothing to lose. If you play your cards right you can win a million dollars on ACR doing it. Next is small stakes. You can't come close to that at the casino. Not to mention the cost of gas just to get and the time it takes to do so. On the other hand if I'm going to lay out big money to play then I going to the casino to play live and make a day of it.
