I feel you have to play slow and carful on line. cause players will call any bet even all in and if I have a good hand they seem to catch a better hand from nothing
If you're talking about tournaments, and freerolls in particular, I agree you have to start off this way. Avoid pre-flop all-in confrontations unless you've got a premium hand and make sure you're on the winning end post-flop. Assume any draws will be made too. Once you build your stack, you can ease up on the paranoia a bit.
I often see players who slowly play their hand lose. I think that if I have a good hand, you need to bet, do not play slowly. For a slow game, you need to choose the situation very carefully.
Yes there will also be people who call you with nothing.
And yes sometimes the will runner runner and win.
But most of the time, you will win, so you should be happy with those people, without them poker would be alot harder.
There's nothing wrong w/playing slow in any circumstance, imo. Taking time to see how other's are playing at the table to develop a strategy is a smart move in itself. I know how frustrating it can be to watch players go all-in and win w/crap while you've folded a flop worthy hand, but patience can pay off in the long run. Good luck donkey mining.
