Why do people play online poker tournaments when it is so clear that the house is taking advantage of the players. Many live casinos to not have poker tournaments because there is little to be earned from entry fees. I can't see online houses living off that.

Most people play online because they enjoy playing poker, even though they might be losing.

Some others are doing well enough that they are beating the high rake and generating some profits.

Live casinos are taking advantage of players as well, but you still see people playing the slots or the roulette

I think the biggest thing for online poker is the amount of players they can have playing at 1 time compared to a casino. People come to casinos and spend money in many ways. But I have seen online tournaments with a couple thousand people in them. I think it adds up a lot quicker than we can imagine online.
