They're pretty cool, they pay you out by paypal and stuff, even if you live in the US.

Software is nice and snazzy, and the traffic is heavy. Anyone else playing on there?

Global is great, I can highly recommend.
You can also play on mobile via your browser.

I find their RnG to be a bit strange, but it's probably due to the "sweepstakes" model, every hand; you can consider an individual "sweepstakes".

I feel the player pool is a bit tougher than when they first launched.

RE: PayPal, they actually changed this. It is no longer done that way. Now, they use Stripe I believe (or something just like it) all deposits and withdrawals are done via your debit card directly. Actually nicer IMO since PayPal has a myriad of issues.

It's definitely my go-to mobile option still. I've ran $5-10 up to $200-2000 many times on there.

You can only deposit and withdraw now using one specific processor. I think their name is world Comm? They are terrible

That's fishy. Sound like some full tilt stuff. Paypal drops folks with too many complaints.

They dropped PayPal, actually. Please don't spread misinformation.
Chumba, their parent company has been running a legitamate operation for over 20 years. Never had a single bad experience.

Global is a great alternative to ACR for Cashgames.
Still stick to ACR for tournaments, :)

You believe that VFC Holdings ( that's the company name that owns Chumba casino and Global poker) dropped PayPal? I'm sorry but I completely disagree with that. How can that possibly make good business sense? I'll leave it at this as to not end up in a squabble. If you're going to go there I'd just go have a look see for myself on 2+2 before I did. Then make up your own minds? As far as them running a legitimate business for 20 years and never having a bad experience? That's great for you if that's the case but I'd have to say you're in the minority. I can't remember the last time I had an experience that was good with them involved? Anyway to each their own best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

Now you must have a bank account that you're willing to give them the information for multiple times. If your willing to do that and you are able to pass thier verify program you can then request a cash out. I know several people who didn't get their cash out before the switch who just got tired or jacking with it and left it.

If I'm wrong, I apologize. That is just usually how it happens. Dropping paypal seems like a bonehead move.

Global pokers cash games at the micro levels are pretty soft. Ive blown a few small deposits there playing goofy and seeing how most of their field acts. $20 or $50 should be enough to get any decent player started in micro cash games - spotting fish is SUPER easy, and getting them to pay you is even easier. Many times ive turned a $4 buy in into $12 - $20 in less than 90 mins...like i said, i have not played very well there in particular as when i was giving it a run i was still trying to get my tilt problems under control.

Anyhow, heard many successful cash out stories - even after dropping paypal - the games are soft and beatable, theres usually alot of action and its worth a try in my book. I will make a serious run at it sometime this year, focused only on ACR and BOL at the moment.

Global Poker is a Scam

I signed up with the site recently and invested $17.00 before I was able to run it up to $50.00 (their minimum cashout) and decided to cashout to see how convenient it was and to see if the company was legitimate before I committed to it.

I gave them all the information they required but nothing happened, so I contacted them 9 days later. They claimed discrepancies in my information and that the money was sent but reversed. I gave them the information again (double checking and calling my bank to confirm I had the correct routing number) and a few days later, I get the same "discrepancy" e-mail, asking for my information again. I complained about having already done it twice and had a few questions of my own. They replied by letting me know I would have to provide a different bank account if I wanted the money, as if I'm sitting on a bunch of random accounts or something. This had me the most suspicious because banks don't regularly reject deposits and it seemed as though they were in fact making some connection with my account.

I decided to call my bank again to see what the deal was and lo and behold, Global Poker was trying to withdraw money from my account and not deposit. I sent them a snarky e-mail asking to deactivate my account which they have failed to respond to.

Bottomline: You're going to have to gamble to win some money and then gamble again to actually get paid. I've read plenty of stories of people getting paid but I personally think the site is just another scam site.

I ran $5 up to $50 and cashed out. It took three days from request to in bank account.

Pretty happy with them. The games are as soft as organic cotton.
