I play mostly online as I don't have a local casino to play live unless I drive several hours. On occasion, I will get up to go to the restroom, get a drink or just grab a stretch. Has anyone else ever walked back to the computer to see yourself timing out to a pocket pair of Kings or Aces or anything playable in general? It seems to happen more often than not to me. I have caught a few before being folded but I wish I could have a few of them back. Only thing worse is losing a nice stack of chips the hand before a break in the tourney with pockets. Am I the only one?????

nope, you're not.
It's standart with all poker sites.
If you're AFK they will post your blinds and take your chips, since you're inactive.

I love to double before the break. At this point, the aggression of the players increases. Everyone wants more chips and is starting to make more mistakes. I have a casino and a poker club in my city. But I prefer the online game, because it’s calmer to play.

A few simple tips to help combat this. ! Pee before you start even if you don't have too. 2 Before you need a bio break if less than 5 minutes sit out next bb on all tables. 3 before you start make sure your focused at the task of hand. I am sure there are more, but with the aid of alcohol that is all that comes to my mind at this moment.

Sometimes this happens. But usually I do not leave the table and wait patiently for a break. I think a five-minute break is enough to do everything you need.

This game you can not give the site or other players any chance, has to be complacent with the table, not lose any hands, as all are important if you really want to get first in the tournament. 110% commitment.

It's definitely happened to me. Kind of a gift in disguise though since I lose the most with big pairs much more often than any other hand.

To be honest, I did not quite understand the question.
And yes, it’s very bad to lose before the break on a good card preflop before the break

It appears that way because you tend to remember the few monsters and easily forget the hundreds of insignificant hands folded in the same situation. If you want to avoid having to leave the table, just get a small refrigerator next to your computer and keep an empty milk jug to pee in while you're playing

It doesn't happen too much to me, but it has happened before. I had pocket aces and timed out during going to the restroom. I don't mind too much because I only play mirco stakes games.

You are definitely not the only. I have encountered that many times
It sometimes feel like the pokersite is showing you, you could have won. So you made a mistake according to them. And thats one of the reason why you are losing according the site.|
I believe the site is setting you up.

Maybe I am wrong, But I have a good feeling about my opinion

Happens very frequently. Then again you are probably not remembering the times you can back and folded some more trash hands. You could always run an experiment by sitting out intentionally and just watching to see if the site deals you aces and kings.

No friend you're not the only one.
Sometimes we think ahhh I'll double before halftime or I'll double at tournament restart after halftime or ahhh now I double with a pair in hand, these thoughts are too futuristic must have a solid thought in play so as not to risk their chips influenced for thoughts prior to what you see on the flop, turn and river risk everything if you're nuts or semi nuts. But read your opponents before acting. Good luck to us.:top:

You certainly are not the only one, I once missed out on AA vs KK and QQ deep in the Sunday Brawl on Full tilt (back when full tilt was a thing, $260 buyin tournament) maybe there were 100 players left, it was pretty devastating.

The best advice I can offer is to time your drinking and eating so that you'll have to go to the bathroom on the breaktime of the tournament. If however you are playing cash games then just click sit out when you go to the bathroom, that way you get 2 benefits

1) You don't have the negative freeroll of seeing you missed a great spot
2) You don't feel the need to rush back to make sure you don't miss anything

It's important to plan these things out ahead of time and build those habits, because otherwise our impulses will be very much based on the 'can't miss a thing, make every hand count' mindset, which is great for the game but not so great for our wellbeing.

Hope that helps! :saint:

Got to do what you got to do. If not on a portable device, you have no choice. In saying that, really hate missing hands for various reasons. I play on a laptop that is portable, very rarely do run into missed hands.

I even sometimes do it on purpose: I set the absence mode. And I see what cards are going. Whether this is a joke or the truth - but sometimes it works.

It’s enough for me 5 minutes, even to take a snack if I had to eat. You should not play so much. Take a break between tournaments or tables. All the same, you need to take time to review your hands.

Yes, like everyone like you, where I live, there are no casinos, but from time to time we organize a small poker tournament with my friends, that's why I play more online
