First off, new member joining for some input. I'm a US player, so I know options are limited.

#1 - Concern, ever since Bovada became ignition (I took a break for a few months) they have been charging a 20% fee for each deposit I've made, while I never had this issue before. I know others have experienced this with no positive results. Before I could even elaborate on the issue, I was flooded with a list of finger pointing excuses like it was some god damn script they have prepared. They refuse to own it.

I played on other sites in the past and the amount of bad beats here just seems unfathomable....HOWEVER, that seems to be a common complaint for every site and probably boils down to odds. But still, why does shit like 6/8 off suite get shoved pre-flop and hit so much, god damn!

I'm definitely a recreational player and enjoyed the anonymous aspect.
Was on a hard spiral and lost my roll and just can't bring myself to let them steal more $$ if I re-bought.

I didn't really have any issue making money here, I just had a bad habit of occasionally coming home hammered and well....yea. The bad beats was just a shit cherry on top.
I've stopped that, but was looking for a place for freerolls to fix that urge in case I still wanted to play like a jackass.

Based on just reading forums, ACR seemed ok but is supposedly bot infested (taken with a grain of salt) and just mad grinders.

I was all sold on Betonline but apparently they've recently gotten rid of most their free rolls, have lost a lot of traffic, and also have some sort off add-on/rebuy options for tournaments?

Am I just sort screwed with Ignition still being the better option?

*Mostly like tournies with an occasional cash game*

Much thanks in advance!

ACR I believe does have bots...but I have won a few on-demand freerolls there...but there is alot of donking going on in them freerolls...so you just can't let that affect how you play...but your best option would be ACR for freerolls I believe...but that's only site I've played on besides Brovada...and I felt like Brovada had more bots then ACR....so IDK...IDK if there is actual bots or if the site just screws you on rivers alot...either case...I have alot of bad beats by donk cards on ACR....but it's not impossible to win...

I see the bot assumption for most online sites, it just seems ACR gets the complaint the most. I really don't even know what to look for, other than the improbable suck outs on a turn->river from the same ...# player
I have heard ACR isn't nearly as soft as betonline and ignition.
Found out ACR has a free $20 tourney bonus for new signups, guess it's worth getting a feel for it.

I played on ignition and it was definitely a lot softer than any other site I played on. The anonymous aspect is really awesome too because everyone's on an even playing field but there is no rake-back/incentives to play which is my main problem with it. TBH though, looking back I think the softer tables might have made up for the lack of rake-back.

Is there a Deposit needed for the bonus? Or is it completely free for trying out the website?

And how can I get a welcome bonus on ACR? I have already registered there, but I did not make a deposit

I would check the site to be sure, but I believe it's for new registration only.

Completely free for new sign ups, still haven't deposited.
I signed up last night, and played a couple freerolls. Got free play $2 today, and i assume every day for 10 days total

Ignition is absolutely wonderful. Easy to deposit. Easy to withdrawal(I get my checks within 10 days of cashing out). The customer service is fantastic. They have some pretty solid MTT's with a soft field on their most of the times.

Easily my favorite poker room as of now.

Edit: 20% to deposit? It's only a 5.9% fee if you deposit with a debit card and no fee if you use bitcoin.

Uhhhh yea, that's the whole point. They're basically stealing. Technically the past 3 deposits have ranged between 19.3-19.9%

They lay blame on the foreign company they use for billing....like that somehow makes them not responsible for it.....
They demand bank statements and since the month has just now finished, I'm waiting for August to post. Other people have had the same issue though, and they refused to help.

I don't know what you are talking about.... I deposit using bitcoin and it's free.... where are you coming up with this absurd number of 19.3%-19.9%

Like, what are you not understanding? They advertise 5.9%, but ive been charged an increased % ever since ignition took over.... . Last deposit was $50, I was charged 59.75....This has nothing to do with you depositing free with Bitcoin. That's how it SHOULD be. It's that simple.

I guess I'm not understanding why you are choosing to do something that costs you fees, when you have the option to do it for free..... you are causing your own anger about something that doesn't even have to be a problem

Wow that's an incredibly skewed opinion on the matter. So their overcharges are validated by me not using bitcoin.....?.....?Annnnyyyways, Yes Bitcoin would be an easier option, but that's not the point. Point is they're heavily overcharging deposits for some people. I'm not alone in this case, and some have lost a lot more money to them with large deposits. There's multiple cases posted about t just on cardschat.

I apologize if thatcame off as impolite , not the intention. I just don't think their action should be justified in any way. It's a problem they need to address.

I don’t feel like it’s skewed. If you didn’t have access to bitcoin I can see how it would be a problem. But everyone has access to bitcoin. So again this an issue that you have created for yourself that can be solved and if you and everyone else keeps paying the fees then that’s on y’all. Why not use the option available and stop worrying about it?

Bovada did NOT become Ignition by the way.

I thought this was the case, somehow, after not playing at Bovada, I swear I read it was now 'Ingition' and it certainly has the same software.

But talking with customer support- they have advised me the two are quite separate entities.

I have never been charged 20% on a deposit, cash or bitcoin, it shows the final amount, I might deposit say $25 and I'll see maybe $1 or $2 fee, but not much.

It sounds like you are challenging whether the site is fair, I have no reason to think it isn't. I simply enjoy playing the game and so be it if I win, I win, if I lose I lose, I have certainly been up playing there, and down, but we are talking $25 MAX Deposit once in a month or two, most I went up to was $250 or so, I won a couple big tournaments...

I do love their Thursday- EVERY thursday $2500 freeroll - once you play there enough, you get a ticket every week for life.

That alone often provides me a BR to play more, since I don't like depositing, why? because I'm usually broke :)

All this said, I have lots of fun there, I can only think it might just seem like they are 'taking' from you, if you had some bad runs.

ACR is fine though.

I highly recommend ACR and Ignition, those are the two I play at.

I think CardsChat really helps ACR venue too I think with their daily $100 Freerolls, I did the math on that, that's a pretty significant offering CardsChat has.

I play in the CardsChat $100 on Saturdays sometimes if I can remember :)

Hope it works out

1. given that ignition is anonymous, it DEF has more bots than acr, 2. if you are in the US you HAVE to be using bitcoin to depo/withdraw, there just isn't anyway around it (but i would rec using bitcoin cash instead of bitcoin, it is nuch faster and the mining fees are a fraction of what bitcoin gets away with charging. Acr all the way... i still play in intertops and carbon too, but there just isn't enough traffic.

You need to get on Global Poker and ditch the rest. Maybe ACR now that they have started fixing the bot problems.

Best site on the net hands down is Global. I'm sold on it. Won a few tournaments on there. Everyone is willing to chat for the most part. No not period.

I have never walked away from a game where I felt I was setup to lose or the RCG/RNG is or was rigged in X players favor.

Global Poker is where it is at for US players at this time. Period.

Any fees on deposit or withdraw are outrageous and are to be avoided. I recommend ACR to avoid fees.
