When Playing on-line do you like to see your chip stack as the total amount of chips you have or the number of Big Blinds you have?

Chips were invented by the casinos in an attempt to undermine the gambler in that you do not see the bets as cash and when playing with clay chips all you see them as is play tokens,
It does not look like a thousand dollars you are gambling away with only a thousand chips.

Likewise when playing on line you need to be more protective of your stack when betting with chips and I prefer now to see them as BBs it takes away the fear of betting thousands of chips away when the Blinds are high and more importantly how many BB you have left, gives you the information you need to make better decisions. Like when you should be shoving all-in rather than just raising.

How do you feel about Chip Count vs BB?

Definitely chipstack. It could be because that is what I'm used to doing, so it is easier for me. I had quite awhile trying to figure out why when playing at America's Cardroom it would switch to BBs and I had no idea of how to change it back. I even emailed them but never received a reply. Then one day I just clicked again on my avatar that that did the trick. LOL!!

I'm not sure if this is true. Perhaps the opposite is true - players in live casinos are easier to part with game chips than with real money. ;)
It is unlikely that gambling establishments are doing something that is not profitable for them.

I used to be the standard guy, but I realised that making the look personal actually very important to can pay attention the most. I'm playing with 4 coloured deck. And I see the BBs insted of chips. You can raise 2.06BB and it looks like f.e. 1680 in chips, which is psichologically a better weapon. In addition 1.200.000 can look like much but if its just 30BB I rather want to know the truth than my mind is betrayed me.
There's only one expectation for me, the hyper-turbo ones. Because the blinds increasing way fast, you just don't have a clue why you had almost 2x more blinds 5 minutes sooner. :)
I say be open minded in this field as well, and use both of them, cause checking BBs are important, and seeing the actual stack can be convincing.

Hi Emily, I am very sorry you did not receive an answer by our CS department, if you like I can help you look into it, but in any case, you can toggle from BBs to chips going to:

Settings -> Playing tools -> Gameplay

And then click/unclick "Show chips as # of big blinds" according to your preference. :

BBs in tournaments especially at final tables when you're sitting on a 2,500,000,000 chip stack which looks huge but only equates to 4 bigs.

Chipstack

I prefer chipstack. I’m used to live poker so I can do the math in my head.

This is exactly what I am saying, The Casino's in france were the first to introduce the clay chips, they paid out to have the chips made and introduced them to their gaming tables so that people would not realise how much money they were parting with on the blackjack and roulette tables and it increased the profits from the gamblers losses.
The Casino's argument was that they ran respectable establishments and to have cash money on the tables was both uncouth and common and made the places look like any Gambling den or backroom establishments.
They raised the respectability of gambling and introduction of the clay chip was just one of their tools in getting more money out of the suckers.

I've been playing for a long time and I'm used to using the chip stack. Rebuilding to BB stack is not necessary for me. By the way, casinos use not only chips for easy profit. Have you ever seen that there were windows in casino rooms. There are no windows so that players feel less sense of the time and spend more time in the casino.

I'm already used to the usual kind of chip count, I can count the blinds. I have not tried playing yet when the stack is displayed in BB, I need to try this option somehow. And then I can understand exactly all the pros and cons of these options. The casino is generally evil!

In tournaments, I tend to count on how many big blinds I still have to choose my strategy. If I still have more than 25 blinds I play tight similar to how I would play in cash games. I wait for good hands and play them aggressively. Does my stack have between 15 and 25 blinds added to my strategy stealing blinds and steal-raises. If everyone folded in front of you and you're in late position, you can raise with weaker hands and steal the blinds. In addition, your opponents will often raise with weaker ones. Here you can now go all-in with medium-strong hands and pocket the dead money. If I only have 5 to 15 blinds left, I either go all-in or I fold. It's called push or fold. It's best to be in late position and everyone has folded in front of you. If you are in early position you need a better hand to go all-in. In cash games I always sit at the table with a full stack. That's why I don't necessarily have to look how many blinds I still have available.

No window's and No clocks either! and I know some even give free Booze away to players, to oil the hinges on their wallets (lol)

But seriously I have noticed that since changing my stack to BB rather than Chips, it has improved my game play, because I am always aware of how many Blinds I have, rather than how many chips.

A lot of the Streamers I watch on "Twitch" always have the Blind count showing rather than the chip count, it is an easy transition, and all you need to do is click on your Avatar on the game table and it should switch from Chip count to BB count and vice/versa.
It takes some time to get used to it, just as playing with a 4 coloured deck takes a while to get used to, but I find it preferable now.

When the fun Stops, STOP!
