The DNS attacks on AC are apparently personal - they're instigated by a group of people that have something to gain from taking them down, however temporary.
It seems the quality of ACR is gone. I know this is obvious to reg players of this sight.Im sorry to see them go this way.
The attacks forced ACR to scale back on the types of tournaments they normally provide. When they get things under control, they will be back.
how does scaling back the type of tournaments help them withstand them?
I hope you're right on this one Shady Slim. I myself am relatively new to the forums, but you seem to be on the forefront of what is going on with ACR. They seem to be the best option for US players atm and I hope we can look forward to bigger and better things going forward
I normally have massive lag and frequent disconnects on WPN but since their return after these last attacks the software has been the best it ever has for me for years.
Hopefully that is a sign that they have improved their servers.

This week i have found the software working fine, Definitly i have had no lagging which i always seemed to have in the past
I experienced the same problems with my system freezing as well as the client. I enjoy playing ACR and hope that the IT folks have resolved the server problem. Thanks for the information, Shady Slim.First of all, there was only one update to the software about a week and a half ago. Second, the lag was not caused by the software, but was a result of over-burdened servers. It is the same software that you have always been using.
With that said, I have experienced an actual software issue on two occasions and both during game play. The first time was last week when ACR reported having problems with the main lobby. At that exact time my entire OS became unresponsive. I closed every application I was running (which took a while) and the problems persisted. When the tournament were cancelled, including the one I was in, I promptly closed the ACR client and everything went back to normal.
I experienced the same thing for a few minutes during the CC freeroll on Sunday. Again, my entire OS became unresponsive. I knew what was in store for me, so I shut down all applications including the ACR client. I started the client back up again and was taken right back to the table. I lost about 5 minutes of game play during a crucial time of the game, but still managed a 4th place cash.

I agree and about 600 others must as well, Pablo. It's a great way to build strategies. Good luck!I haven't had any problems the last couple days. I hope that they are able to completely fix the problems they had. They have the best selection of tournaments.
Shady Slim,
I am attaching the system info.
Thank you and as always, good luck! KK is a power hand and to me in the blinds is even more. Sorry to hear about the fold. Lots of times, if played right, can be an easy double.
