To my surprise today I received an Email from a wsop poker spokesman informing me that there was a game in my area.. From April 4th-15th there are going to be some nice sized buy-in's Please spread the word! This is exciting for me.. I have played in resturants/bars with poker leauges and even casino style Texas holdem face-to-face, but never Wsop main event tournament style poker face-to-face.. Im going on the 6th at 9pm for a $250 buy-in tournament 1-day event to get warmed up.. I'm so excited and nervous, I'll probably end up giving off every signal that Im not supposed to..

I guess the point was to inform everyone of a Running Event In North Carolina..

But also, Is anyone else going? Or has anyone went before somewhere else?

Any pointers to deal with this shaking and nervousness?

From the Twitter reports I've seen they have an overflow field for today's 1st event.

I would be going if I didn't already have Vegas planned for next week. I should be at the next one they do there.

Ive been looking all over and from what I can tell, I need a Total Rewards card for harrah's. With this in mind, I have several ''Credit/Debit'' Cards and such, but none that say ''Total Rewards'' If thats the case it says it takes 7-10 days to register for one through them.. Or can I just pay at the door? I was Planning to Play on april 6th at 9pm... Any information would be great.. I just don't want to miss the registration..

You should be able to register at the door and pick up a card there also. I would call them at (828) 497-7777, ask for the Poker Room and find out when registrations open. From the pictures on Twitter there was a very long registration line for today's events.

Wish I was there, but I'm sooooo broke. Good luck to all who do go. Maybe a Cardschat member will win big. :)
