WPT's Lynn Gilmartin fundraising to help wildlife in the devastating Australian fires

On Monday, World Poker Tour hostess Lynn Gilmartin launched Poker Players for Australian Wildlife, a Facebook fundraiser to help wild animals whose habitats are being devastated by blazes that have been raging across the nation for months. In Lynn's instagram voice message, she notes there have been a half a billion animals lost through these devastating fires and hopes to raise funds in efforts to assist the the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, a non-profit founded by Terri Irwin and her late husband Steve Irwin (of “Crocodile Hunter” fame).

Who wouldn't like Lynn, right?! She shows the kind of person she is right here, in my opinion, and that makes her even more beautiful!

News like this should make us reflect on climate change. Forest fires are common in Australia, but these recent fires have no comparison.

High temperatures, drought and strong winds are a consequence of climate change, more and more news showing the effects of "global warming." We have already reached a time when we must be responsible and aware of global warming so that we can unite and face this problem.

Too many people the last days worldwide contribute in fundraises and organised group or anonymous/personal donations to help Australia recover (as much as this is possible.......) from this wildfire tragedy . Poker players are not an exception
