Legend
Silver Level
Let's say hypothetically that Cliff Josephy wins the Main Event. It will be his 3rd bracelet. Of course with all the controversy surrounding the Poker Hall of Fame, inevitably this question will probably be asked.
Is he a candidate for induction?
Of course he made his reputation first as an online crusher, and is a legend in the PocketFives community, and has had a hand in many players' successes (Gordon Vayo at the final table was one of Bax's horses pre-Black Friday). He and Eric "Sheets" Haber ran a very prominent backing stable pre BF. He was also (likely) one of Joe Cada's coaches when he won the Main Event, so his contributions have definitely been seen and felt.
The Poker HOF has taken some heat for what is perceived as a political choice in Todd Brunson being inducted, do you think Bax will be looked at as a candidate? After all, he is a hybrid online/live player and it's hard to say if they take online success into account.
Even if he doesn't win, do you think he still is someone that should be considered?
